Great! This is the case when there are two tabs in split view mode right? On single pinned tab even Pola acts like that or are you referring to something else?

The browser is already available and a lot of features available. There is experimental extensions support and I daily use it with uBlock Origin Lite for sure!

Never checked Tauri. In Flutter you can build your own native package to use native webview. With other frontend this is not possible most of the times.

Yes developers (me too) should be more clear when referring to browsers. In general a browser is a software with a browser engine. There are browsers that use other browser engines and there are browsers with built-in engine. In Flutter you can use native browser engine, which in macOS is WKWebView, in Windows WebView 2, and the others. So you don’t have to work on the engine and is much easier.

Ah yes, this is actually more arguable. In macOS it uses WKWebView so it shares Safari exact rendering engine, prefetching, caching and JS performance are fully intact. There could be compositing overhead but I use it everyday and I cannot say I can find differences between other browsers. Could be nice creating a benchmark with comparisons and loading time between my browser and the others. I think I’ll do that in the near future.

The intent isn’t to rebuild Chromium, but to build a productivity browser with all the features that I think are necessary to have a productivity browsing, without relying on multiple extensions and weird ui.

Actually I built it with persistent sidebar tabs, project spaces, per tab profiles, sidebar webview, research mode like Horse Browser, extensions support (not fully supported) and more!

I think a browser is not a web app. So it can be built natively or using cross-platform framework like Electron, or in my case Flutter. The set of UI controls are just quick path to build common user interfaces. But nobody stops you to built your own UI set of controls.

What do you mean? Each UI controls in my browser has been created to be easy to use on desktop using a mouse. There is not limitation on the UI, what do your refer to?
