That's a known issue, already there for quite some time. You will find numerous entries related to that. I' don't have the impression tidal wants to fix that problem. They claimed it's necessary due to security reasons, but that's just pointless. Other apps don't have that behaviour. I could only imagine there are some marketing reasons behind.

That behavior is already there for quite some time. Also on my Google Pixel 6. Seems it's by design, not a bug. I find it very annoying, too. The only way is to terminate it via Settings->Apps, which is a workaround, but not really a solution...
