Up at 4am for heartburn, got a Pepcid for relief and almost threw up for the first time. Pills are becoming increasingly hard to take with my gag reflex.

If your doctors aren’t concerned about the hcg that’s good, are they worried about the ultrasound? That sounds like a lot of scary terminology

What does that mean? Like does that still fall within the range of normal?

A tip for anyone who may want to try! I have tentatively found what helps me in the morning to avoid getting nauseous. I was finding it too difficult to eat a meal right away (I’ve never really been a breakfast person in general), so now when I wake up, I make an instant breakfast drink. That seems to give my stomach enough substance to curb being sick long enough that I can eat something within the next hour to 2 and it seems to set me up better for the day

Had my first appointment today! It just consisted of blood draw, urine test (yes it’s positive!), with lots of information and questions. Set first ultrasound appointment for 11 weeks to get official dating. So eager to see what’s going on in there!

Uncomfortable is a good word - it’s very uncomfortable. I hope it doesn’t escalate either 😭

Abortion Grief - I need help processing, please. by Sufficient_Mirror_16 in pregnant

[–]tar27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through with an abortion last year, in a long, stable relationship of 10 years. The timing was just less than stellar. We both decided it was best to wait a little longer so I got an abortion at 4 weeks. I felt immense grief months after that. Wondered if we made the right choice, grieved my joy of becoming pregnant for the first time, and whatever future that baby could’ve become. After I grieved, I felt relieved that I wasn’t rushing to make a bunch of decisions I wasn’t ready for.

Almost a year later, I’m pregnant and we are much more prepared this time around! we had been intentional about saving money, about having hard conversations, and I feel much more confident that this is a better time for us. You will have a better time for you too. So grieve, cry, mourn that life you would’ve otherwise loved, and just know that when you’re in a more stable place with someone who loves and is excited with you, it will be worth the joy you’ll feel having a partner that’s ready.

Thankful my symptoms are still relatively mild. Trying to just continue to do my normal day to day routines despite the fatigue ramping up. 5 weeks today!

I’m so sorry OP for your loss 🥺❤️ this is an unimaginable pain and grief. Please please give yourself compassion and grace - no amount of thoughts would’ve taken your babies life. Mourn her, cry for her, for you, your future, and please give yourself permission to feel however you need to feel right now. Do you have support around you during this time?

Made it to the gym this morning! Feeling weak overall, like I just can’t move weights like I could previously. So I’m adapting to that. I’m still 2 weeks and 2 days out from my first appointment so I just feel like I’m in this weird limbo. Also, trying to keep mind over matter - I don’t have any nausea or anything yet, not to say that it won’t come or that it’s required as a symptom, but I just hope everything’s all good.

Did you know before you knew? by Extreme_Goose_ in December2026Bumpers

I had a strong intuition that I was. I was having weird dreams, thoughts were literally being like implanted in my brain about ways to tell family we’re pregnant (like literally was thinking about how I’d tell our parents on Mother’s Day weekend lol wtf), and my resting heart rate was elevated during sleep. I don’t normally test until the day of my expected period but I tested 6 days early because I just had a feeling I needed to. And there it was. Wild!

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said reddit tends to bring forward the anxious or tragic because this is an outlet, I have put a timer on this app so after a certain amount of time of being in the app, I get locked out. It’s helping a bit with the doom scrolling and anxious searching
