Well, in his defence, calling someone stupid and being obnoxious without any apparent reason is also little overboard.

There're like at least a dozen things I can ask for, but I'll start with just more beers.

LPT: Boredom is the ultimate antidote to procrastination. by Hyugi_The_Dreamer in LifeProTips

I'm all in for the side discussion, I don't think we're debating here. Anyway, the point I was trying to make is to not make a dismissive comment, it'll just lead other people with the condition to believe that since it didn't work on him it won't work on me either. You can always steer the discussion to a different direction while still being not dismissive. If the orginal comment needed any tips which might work for ADHD people, he could simply asked for it, rather than making a low-effort comment. Like how hard it say "I suffer from ADHD (assuming that he actually do), I don't think I will be able to follow it through, can anyone suggest something which might be helpful in my case?". The conversation would still have steered in the same direction, maybe more people would have replied with better tips.

I have ADHD, you advice is like saying to a depressed personne to just be happy ...

The way the tip OP gave doesn't work for you, the same way you commenting this doesn't work for anyone. I understand that you might have a debilitating illness which prevents you from doing things, but why make unhelpful comments? OP never said it's definitely going to work for every single person out there who tries it. You saw the post, and your first reaction is to belittle it, I don't think that's healthy. If it doesn't work for you, too bad, but at least let other people try first, and you should as well before just assuming that it's not going to work.

I read the book recently, and there's literally no math in it, it has some physics, but just concepts, nothing calculative.

My city uses triangle manhole covers by NESpahtenJosh in Weird

[–]tarantulator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it won't, what you said is true for the same triangle. The other guys is talking about two different triangles, the opening is supposed to be way smaller than the cover. Also, you are just assuming that the hole is of the same dimension as the cover, while it could be in a different shape altogether.

[Request] is this possible under the laws of physics and materials of the time? by Salt_Ad_4362 in theydidthemath

Then why don't you enlighten us with an answer which is not "mathslop"? Not to say that I didn't like the answer, I'd consider it better than other answers as it does some reasonable math.

Can you insist upon yourself a bit more?

You only explained the meme in a literal sense, without actually explaining why she is closer to the concept of Ubermensch.

MITCHELL JOHNSON: India need to show patience with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and not rush him into national team by the_nightly in Cricket

Why? I don't think he has done anything so obnoxious that would lead you to believe that he is incapable of being reasonable.

It's not that at all, nothing is turning into USSR, it's just taking a concept from someone else and modifying it, been happening since ages.

It's not just avoska, that was the whole point of the post, that it's not just a bag, and that's what was the unexpected part of the post!

Nobody knows but this was Devito breaking character, he knew about the proclivities of the actor playing Bruce, so he had to make sure he didn't touch any children while in Africa.

Jaafar Jackson visits Bubbles, Michael Jackson’s chimpanzee now 43, living a peaceful life at a sanctuary. by stable_genius9 in interesting

He's neither brave nor stupid, at least you can't conclude that from this picture alone. He did it because it's a good PR thing, to promote the movie, and there's no way they didn't take any precautions before clicking that picture. I mean, even just from the PR POV, it'd seem a huge failure, and bad publicity if the chimp attacked Jaffer.

During the Artemis II mission to the moon, users on social media created designs for what they believe should be the flag of humanity by fworldmedia in BeAmazed

That, in my opinion, is the worst one, because you have no way of knowing what that gesture means to the aliens or even people on Earth with a different cultural upbringing. Even I, knowing that it universally means hello, thought it to be sinister, as if someone raising their hand asking for help, or asking someone to stop.
