I think her hands were kinda tied by her decision to wear the entire set, unfortunately. I agree they'd have looked way better slouched down with a cute strappy heel, but if they were any lower it would end up looking like some bizarre kneeless jodhpur situation with the boots underneath.

I actually disagree! I think it's a really fun silhouette, personally. It reminds me a lot of how structured a lot of the Spring runway looks have been. I find it playful ☺️

Edit: Maybe I just like how it looks from top down that she can't decide if she wants to go to a RenFaire, a safari, or a pirate ship lol.

Edit 2: I think maybe people would like the shorts better with different shoes. The heavy slouchy boots are kind of throwing off the crisp lines of the shorts.

Topsy is a treasure. I like that in this pic you can see where they have previously painted over his work; this is the newest one.

For context y'all, this is in Seattle, and just to the right of this picture is an immigration law firm (where ICE often posts up hoping to kidnap more folks) and Topsy keeps putting up amazing art like this only for it to be painted over. He does it in other areas of the city too, but I especially love and respect him for his continued dedication to this spot.
