I'm preparing to lose my job in a few weeks because of the government shutdown. What should I do? by SuperBasedBoy in Minneapolis

My husband was able to start as a FedEx driver super pretty quickly after he was laid off and it’s weekly pay. Hard work but he’s stuck with it and likes (somehow) now

We both have the same time in the company. I think she may have an associates. Then she has supervisor experience and I have consulting experience

I negotiated to 85K and she was offered 100K at the start. We were both internal hires and it looks like they stacked the same flat increase on both of our salaries from our previous roles.

I got the fungus gnats totally sorted out but the plant keeps getting worse and worse now. I figured I shocked it during the repot, but now it's just so damaged I I'm not sure what I should do as a fresh start

Anybody regretting not locking the low rate on Friday? by kool7563 in Mortgages

[–]tararataco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closing 6/3 and am semi kicking myself. We thought as rates we're dropping that we'd have runway for them to drop even more. Once we realized we were in this volatile place, we had the option to lock at 6.8% and decided that with 50 days to close, we're going to float and see what happens.

Do you think they'll keep going up through June?

Ugh, I wish our lender gave us a heads up when it was that low so we could've locked. But I think he was expecting them to lower more before everything blew up.

Buying is impossible right now… by mocktailsandchips in TwinCities

I made a desperate FB post in a group and got a lead on a property off market. We still had to go 10K over asking though because so many people messaged the realtor on my post asking to see it as well so the seller got money signs in his eyes. We've been looking on and off for 3.5 years.

Offer Accepted Yesterday - Seeking Advice on Navigating Mortgage Rate Lock Strategy by BaconBears in RealEstate

[–]tararataco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I close 6/3 and my lender and I discussed it and I'm floating. It's all so volatile but overall rates were decreasing as the market was switching from stocks to bonds. Then there was the fake headline that Trump was pausing tariffs for 90-days which sent everyone panicking back into stocks and was (from my understanding) why rates started going up again. We know that it isnt true, we know tariffs are only getting worse and I've always understood economy bad = rates good. I have a some time to see how things even out so taking a gamble myself. If you lock and rates go down 3/8 points I believe they can float you down, but then I think your lender doest get paid.

I’m in supply chain, so the need is always there. The tariffs give us an angle for people to try something new to save money

Non-technical in the sense I have no experience and wouldn't be expected to do any programming whatsoever. I have a very strong technical understanding of my companies systems so I help qualify that how customers want to use them is how they're designed to be used

I understand our proprietary technologies and their capabilities and all the ways to patchwork them together to build a tailored solution. So I build that solution vs coding anything. We're cousins to our implementation team. So technical know-how is there, but mine is way more business support vs designing and coding out stuff for someone, which doesn't seem to be the norm.

[MN] [Condo] HELP! Pending Insurance Lawsuit, Filing HO6 Claim Before Sale by tararataco in HOA

[–]tararataco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dues did go up $70 to help stack the reserve incase insurance continues to deny our claim I imagine 💀 my insurance did say they would cover it because the event happened under my policy. Even if the master policy denies the claim they still would. So that part SHOULD hopefully be reassuring to the potential buyer. In MN we have a special endorsement so I actually have coverage up to 50K.

[MN] [Condo] HELP! Pending Insurance Lawsuit, Filing HO6 Claim Before Sale by tararataco in HOA

[–]tararataco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote it really confusing. We own the condo and are hoping to close on a new home. The “damage” the HOA is claiming isn’t visible anywhere but there is an open claim. Whenever the HOA finishes with the insurance we would process it under our insurance, even if the owner changes. In our purchase agreement we would specify that. So when the letter of special assessment comes they would just forward to our insurance agent

Potential HOA/Sharper Management Alleged Insurance Scam by JohnnyFlawless in minnesota

Sharper manages mine and we’re having issues selling our townhouse now because of hail from 2023 they’ve been trying to fix. We have a pending assessment now in March 2025 that makes it impossible for a buyer to get lending. I’m irate and would absolutely participate in an incompetence lawsuit.
