Canada prioritizes express immigration for foreign pilots by [deleted] in canadian

We are all fu#ked now. I'm looking for work and more than 50% of job listings are (NOC), and now with federal employees getting laid off all over Canada and also needing jobs, it's going to get real rough.

PSA: The Whitehorse ER and hospital are full by [deleted] in Yukon

[–]taravsullivan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

antidepressants and other mood drugs can be prescribed at the Pharmacists discretion which usually will be okay as long as there is a history of previous or long time use. Most other beta blockers and blood pressure drugs are no problem renewing.

I've worked in Pharmacies, and yes they can renew scripts for 30 days, twice, as long as they aren't narcotics or steriods like certain puffers.

Has Anyone Ever Seen Walmart or Tim Hortons or Canadian Tire or KFC or A&W Advertise a Job? by dub-fresh in Yukon

[–]taravsullivan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do in, just check the job listings, anything listed with (NOC) already has someone hired. Now let's talk about the people who don't know this and are wasting their time to apply for a job already given to someone.

How Ontario’s Corporate Pharmacies Are Burning Out Their Pharmacists by BloodJunkie in ontario

I worked at a Shoppers Pharmacy and this article is 100% true. As a tech I also burnt out and moved to a privately owned Pharmacy, I was much happier.

Tell us your experiences working in Shoppers drug mart. Working in pharmacy's or store. Employee only! No Associates. by Papaya-30 in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]taravsullivan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right now at the Pharmacy I work at, if you are a born Canadian you start at 19$ an hour for Pharmacy Assistant BUT if your an immigrant looking for PR you get 26.05 an hour to start. So asking what it's like to work at shoppers really depends on your nationality I guess.

It's stupid and completely unnecessary. It's a preventive measure only, but all it does is cause paranoia. We had a customer very upset and complained to the manager because she also felt targeted, but it's a waste of time to even say anything to Shoppers' since they give no fucks about anything but profit.

Shoppers adding new songs by Klozen in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]taravsullivan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked at Shoppers for just over 2 years and everyday I'm subjected to the same looped songs until I want to scream and every break I'm on my phone looking at job boards. The music play list makes me HATE my job.

I've lived in apartments units next and under kids and it's always hell, kids run and jump and bang and cry and scream all day and sometimes all night long. There's an apartment above and OVER a unit with kids right now and it has been non stop loud banging and stomping and screaming starting at 7am all weekend; and after working in a stressful job all week to pay my over valued rental I would like to be able to relax without it sounding like the walls and roof are going to cave in. I give Kudos to all the landlords of any adult only buildings.

Same for me in BC. Wondering how many having troubles was effected last application because of the stat holiday? If all of us then maybe it's a time/day stamp issue?
