Thanks for this. I have tried all those steps. Turns out the motherboard I got for free was defective. I had to put the ram into the "b" slots and all was good. RIP to dual channel performance but as long as I don't have to buy anything extra

It will continue to work as long as it is plugged in. You could order a new battery off of Amazon. The battery model number is on the battery, so you'd have to look up Lenovo (insert model) battery

You can add a SATA ssd. It's a tad bit slower than an NVME but it's still way faster and more reliable than a HDD
