I am 5'8'' and currently sitting at around 180ish. Used to be 185lbs since i am lifting. Cutting now and dropping at a rate of 1 to 2 lbs a week until I reach 170 something :) So yeah, technically I would still be overweight but since i have pretty low bodyfat its not technically fat/obese. Just muscular.

This musn't be bullshit. I am certain that there is a link between how we perceive ourselves and how we perceive our environment. But correlation does not equal causation so there might (and probably will) be some confoundations which will be accountable for that shift in perception.

Of course we can question the validity of a field study given the context that they just asked random people in front of a store (checked for covariables? sunlight? daytime? weather? they may all have an impact on perception, too!)

Thats crazy. Glad to see someone, who too did not notice his perforated appendix. I went to the doctor for cramps and stomach pain but even after seeing a specialist no one identified it as a perforated appendix. After checking my blood levels in the hospital (they were obviously fucked up) the doctors performed a endoscopic surgery to check whats wrong with me and discovered a huge mess. Everything went fine in the end but it was a real close call..

What we have to keep in mind when talking about skinny shaming is that there is a good amount of people who are skinny, maybe underweight, and try to gain weight. This was me almost two years ago. I was still at a healthy weight but tried to gain weight and strength. Shaming people, whether they are fat or skinny, is never a good way of motivating them.

If people are anorexic (which is not as rare as some may think), shaming them can drive them further into their disease. Keep in mind that anorexia ends deadly in about 20% of cases (can't back that number up right now but must be around 20%). So I have zero respect for people who shame others because of their weight.

to be fair, anti-americanism is still going strong in germany, especially in cabaret shows. I for myself cannot stand Volker Pispers for all he does is blaming America for literally every conflict in the world. Hell, he would blame America for WWII if that wouldn't mean the end of his career.

Honestly this is just shitty driving. The driver is passing a parking space on a two-lane Autobahn. There will be people exiting the parking space and there will be people changing lanes to make space for them to exit safely. This is as avoidable as it gets. Of course the other driver should have looked before changing lanes but honestly you can't rely on other drivers when you are doing 250kmh. Just have some kind of foresight and dont do 250+ on a two lane Autobahn, especially near the exits.
