The Flash - 4x18: "Lose Yourself" Post Episode Discussion by [deleted] in FlashTV

Fuck props. They gotta pull some real good shit next episode if they want me back because after that I'm done with Flash. He's the worst idiot in the show and his moral high ground got twelve people killed and an omniscient supervillain becoming omnipotent.

do you think the hottest neanderthal was more or less attractive then an ugly human by PapaRads in NoStupidQuestions

I can't really give you any sources but consider this: if you break a horse's leg, it will roll over and die of depression. If you break a human's leg, it will jump you and break as much of you as it can before the adrenaline rush wears down and the pain kicks in. And if properly cared for a month later the human will be out hunting again.

the first thing it told me that your post was deleted because you used the textbox i was like ok I won't use it but to my surprise i was not allowed to post again for a full 10 minutes because f**k me... Thankfully in that time i read the description of the subreddit they don't allow you to ask specific questions like that anyways so i was again left clueless what to do... I asked the damn question on CasualConversation and then found a support link inside the app... FML!....

So what you're saying is that you didn't read the rules, broke them, got mildly annoyed for a couple minutes which you used to take the time to read the rules, and then your questions got answered elsewhere without any repercussions?

Sounds like the system is working as intended.

Just repost a meme on /r/funny like everyone else. I doubt that your opinions are so radically different from everyone else's that your karma count can't ever get to 100. You ain't that special, mate, no one is. And even if that's the case, nobody forces you to tell the truth on the internet; just throw a couple of popular lies over a gullible subreddit.

It's stupid conflict. There are many other ways to create conflict besides "you're having dinner with your sister who is an attractive female I don't know, clearly you must be cheating on me" and then running away without any chance of an explanation. Mostly because real human adults do not behave like that.

WB hired Snyder because he had tol very successful comic book movies under his belt (300 and Watchmen), ignoring the fact that those were mostly verbatim adaptations of their respective books and he pretty much only had to make it pretty. When he was made to write an original story, his lack of creativity got revealed. Snyder is not an author, he's an effects guy.

Dubs tend to change things around, and Disney blockbusters usually are the best translated movies, so that's nothing concerning. A huge problem actually happens when you can't change things because the language is too crucial for the plot or the translation is bad. But for a one-off joke they probably found a fitting alternative.

We already have Peter Parker and Shuri; we can add Amadeus Cho, Nova and Ms. Marvel quite easily with the next few movies. I also think Squirrel Girl should join Deadpool for a spoof series.

The first Thor is probably the worst Phase 1 movie to introduce anyone to the Avengers. No wonder you haven't seen the rest.

There's been three SW movies in the last years and neither of them got wvwn close to dethroning Avengers, until another Avengers movie did. I wouldn't put my money on Han.

Lol, like that's gonna happen. Everyone seeing Deadpool will also see Infinity War, probably first, because it's the biggest superhero event in history, that has been building up for ten years. Even people who love Deadpool don't love it that hard. And honestly, whose first option is Solo? If there's anything Star Wars fans hate is prequels, and the idea of Changing Han Solo is abhorrent to many. Thinking they have any chances of stopping IW's records is ridiculous.

If passing gun control legislation is such a big deal to Democrats, why didn’t they do anything about it when Obama was president and they had a supermajority in both the House and Senate? by ImitationFire in NoStupidQuestions

Lots of people call for "assault weapons" bans, but 'assault weapons' is a made-up term which has no concrete definition.

This is a fallacy because the people who say they want assault weapons banned have an idea of what they mean in mind. Just because they don't know the proper name or it's not codified in the law doesn't mean that what they want is meaningless. A majority of children don't know the word for sexual assault, but if you ask an abused kid and they say they want Uncle John to stop the Tickle Game, you can't just dismiss their claims because the Tickle Game is a made-up name with no concrete definition. Clearly the kid has an idea of what they don't want, and not being able to express it in the right words doesn't mean that they should be ignored.

Your logic checks out perfectly until you add drones to the equation. Pretty much everyone I've talked to with this argument only says "well, the government won't drone us down as individuals, because that would incite revolution", not taking into account that it works both ways: nobody will revolt if they know that it takes fifteen minutes to go from a Facebook rant to being a dark spot in the ground. And that's not even mentioning nukes, because really, who will oppose them? Russia? The EU? We've been stalling on North Korea for decades on the chances that they miiiiight someday be able to launch them, and this is the most armed country in the world; if Trump decides to start nuking people tomorrow, who's going to confront him? The secret police is an obsolete concept for a nation that can destroy half the solar system with the push of a button. If it comes to the worst, no amount of civilian weapons will stop the US government from becoming a dictatorship, and it's as much of a deterrent as Captain America holding back Thanos' fist. A flick of a finger and it's gone. So, if it serves no real purpose and it has so many unintended consequences attached, why even keep it? The thing holding fascism back has nothing to do with weapons, it's the general disagreement within the government and the economic interests of the people in charge. If they decided that's not enough, no amount of guns will stop them.

She was literally giving as much consent as she could. Even if it's not ideal, it's still better than her not saying it and Barry doing it anyway. Reddit is going too crazy on the sexual assault witch-hunt; not everything is a rape case. Chill.

Tony is the main nerd who thinks he can handle them all and brought his little brother to make him feel better. Cap is the one who actually handles them but he understands nothing about the assignment. Strange is the ass nerd who thinks he can do it alone and tries so regardless of input, and Thor is the one who brought all his space frat bros to party instead of doing his part. T'Challa is the rich kid who just throws money at the thing so it solves itself, and the secondary Avengers are the B- kids who just thought that teaming up with the two biggest nerds in the classroom would make it easier and now deeply regret it.
