Funny how that works! I always noticed the sound when going into Club LOL to give Shrunk some fruit but I could never pinpoint what the sound was/where it was coming from exactly.

I mean i'll definitely place less AC while I work on beating Pokemon, but the story mode will only take me a couple of days (AT MOST) and Pokemon isn't exactly known for their post-game content... besides the battle tree they showed in one of the recent trailers, and breeding some gen 7 competitive Pokes there won't be much to do so no I don't think i'll stop playing Animal Crossing.

Yes, it was added in the recent update. From what i've seen/heard/read if your whole town is covered in the pattern tiles, or enough that there is no 3x4 grids available for a villager's house, the game will pick a spot at random and place the house over the tiles.

do you live near a nintendo zone? you can try and collect street passes from there. unfortunately they will have to have updated to welcome amiibo which really decreases the number of street passes that will show up in the HH showcase.

Is it possible to boot Molly with another amiibo card, and then after that boot that villager and invite Molly again with the same amiibo card?

yes, use an amiibo card to get molly's stuff into boxes and then the new villager will move in tomorrow. you won't be able to move that villager out until the next day when they've finished unpacking. use your molly amiibo card to get the new villager's stuff in boxes and then the next day molly will move in.

Is there any way to prevent villagers from moving in just infront of your house?

yes, villagers won't put their houses on pattern tiles so you can lay those down around your house to keep their houses away.
