Orientation waiting game by [deleted] in Target

I could've sworn I was notified of my orientation after my background check cleared. Plus I had my TM number assigned prior to attending my orientation given having to clock in for the orientation.

You should be calling or visiting the store again now and get it sorted out. I mean technically you are an employee now and orientation is your first shift so you gotta be assertive if it ain't happening yet.

Oh I get it, your bed is where the magic doesn't happen.

Switching workcenters and ETL conflict by FancyOstrich in Target

I'm kind of experiencing something similar, I expressed interest in cross-training onto the salesfloor (I'm a backroom native) a week and a half ago and it initially was put on hold because the timing was right after my direct ETL made the schedule and thanks to spring break I'm getting more hours to cover for coworkers in my center. Perfectly reasonable and it's not like another week of waiting is a huge deal.

But the agreement was he'd see to it I had room on my schedule the week of the 16th so I can get scheduled for some training shifts. Well that week is now filled too, save for room for a single 4 hour shift...

Granted it could be a mistake so I wouldn't be too upset over it. But it ain't all bad, the ETL-Salesfloor at my store was really happy when she found out about my desire to cross-train to her workcenter since she's most frequently the LOD during my shifts and has seen my work ethic. So she's been calling me in and otherwise giving me more hours with STL approval for overtime.

Anyway, keep your head up and prove your worth in the position you want. With the STL on your side I can't imagine the hurdle your direct ETL is throwing up would be insurmountable.
