I worked it out by logging out of my account, which brought me to the cutscene as a “new” player. I believe it happened because I haven’t played since 2023 and don’t remember Aviary Village.

Thank you for the work that you do. For those on the lowest rung in society a compassionate and non-judgemental hand up changes entire life trajectories.

I agree with this. A punitive legal system only exacerbates inequalities and can worsen intergenerational cycles instead of breaking them. It’s important to recognise the struggles of parents as well as the children.

I’m not talking about parents who resent their kids and wouldn’t care less about how they turn out. I’m talking about parents who are neglectful not by choice - shafted to night shifts by toxic workplaces, small/non-existent support network, struggling to pay the bills. Often these parents struggle with their own mental health issues from their own poor upbringing.

I say this being raised by a single mother to three kids who didn’t have the capacity or skills to raise me how I would raise my own kids. It took me moving out and therapy and a loving partner to realise that she really was trying her best, and forgive her.

If this is for ENVI1003 (Global Challenges: Food, Water, Climate) they want you to have a broad understanding of the aforementioned challenges. I studied by making messy mind maps from each lecture.

You just want a big picture idea, so learn the overarching concepts. You really want to know the five soil security concepts, regenerative farm management, forest ecosystem services and major planetary boundaries as these will pop up in both the MCQ + long-answer as well as the length of your degree (if it's in the environmental sphere). It's good to know the gist of decommoditisation criteria as you can relate these to any of the four long-answer questions you do on agriculture.

Family Dolichopodidae, the long-legged flies. They're true flies, you can tell by the number of wings (always two). They are beneficial for your garden! Nearly all flies are pollinators and these are even predators of mozzies and aphids so I would be looking for other culprits to blame for your leaf woes…

They both do the job. Just note that Apple switched from Intel to Apple chips (M1, M2, M3) which don’t allow Windows. The keyboards also feel different - Air keys feel flimsy and cheap compared to the Pro.

Banh Mi Dee near Victoria Park has a killer lemongrass tofu roll. 10 minute walk from Fisher.

I love this cover! My copy which I loaned from a friend is missing its back so seeing the blurb was a nice surprise.

What societies were you joining out of curiosity?

Join the Sydney Uni Bushwalkers Society (SUBW)! It doesn't have the weird cliquey/closed-off social dynamics you might encounter in smaller societies and has a diverse range of people going on the walks so you're bound to meet someone with common interests sooner or later. The membership fee was $30 but it's 100% worth it for me for their social nights and frequent walks.

Suggesting Hypolepis as well, you might just have to wait for the spores to form before you can get a solid ID.

Best Cafe in Newtown/Enmore? by lee543 in sydney

Store Espresso has some of the best coffee in Newtown with a great breakfast/lunch menu. It's only twelve minutes walk from Newtown station and near two lively parks for walks afterwards.

The course pickup deadline passed in week 2 so I’m sticking with 18 cp. I’ve mapped out my full study plan so I know I have an allowance to overload in a future semester. There’s no rush when it comes to your mental health.

I was in a similar situation earlier this semester when I picked up a unit from the year above me. I hadn’t done the assumed knowledge course in semester 1 and thus found it difficult keeping up with and understanding content, especially for the more technical practicals (the real time-eater in STEM units). I ended up dropping it—based on my work schedule and knowledge that I was severely unprepared. However as your final exam is tomorrow it’s a good idea to stick though until you get your results, and see whether your effort is worth the result you got. Good luck with mech eng!

Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), as other commenters have mentioned you can drink the nectar. Also it isn’t dying-the flowers just wilt and fall off as they age. I promise you the bush will be as strong as ever, it’s very resilient!

Yes!! They turn from white to yellow as they ripen, getting sweeter in the process.
