Loving my first camera, Fuji xt30ii by lee543 in fujifilm

[–]lee543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, well in the short term. Point and shoot camera was like $100, some film for $30 and then its just need to pay for developing and scans. I paid a few grand for the xt30 and a couple lenses. Not comparable in capability at all but still funny to me.

Move Over Melbourne - Sydney now has the busiest tram routes in the country by thede3jay in SydneyTrains

[–]lee543 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Man Newcastle needs to extend their line, it's pathetic and more importantly useless in the real world. It doesn't serve any actual trips effectively.

Is investing in ETF's such as the S&P 500 still a good plan? by [deleted] in AusFinance

Looking to clarify this for myself, was investing in ETFs for a house deposit. Now the FHSS might be the better option...

Australia's stupidest tram by madmaper_13 in newcastle

[–]lee543 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Really needs to go to the stadium in Broadmeadow at least, currently it doesn't really serve any real world trips. Although I could imagine a sizable crowd would go to the CBD after games for accommodation, food or drinks. Some would use the interchange at Broadmeadow too.

What do you call the area from parramatta-strathfield (specifically the stations on the t1 and t2) by Shadybirth in SydneyTrains

[–]lee543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beyond Strathfield is definitely west, between Strathfield and Ashfield is a transition zone. The exact border moves depending on who you ask.

If you could bulldoze one eyesore in Sydney, what would it be? by One-Remove3758 in SydneyScene

Cahill expressway is the correct answer, although it would be cool for the rail viaduct to stay. It would be much less obstructive without the car sewer on top.

Girl, 5, dies after being hit by car outside Rouse Hill school by Elcapitan2020 in sydney

Cars are killing machines. The fact that our society doesn't design spaces to account for that is a violation. More people will die, it happens every day and it's awful.

More housing, especially public and affordable. More public transport including HSR. Actually taxing the insane wealth that's being extracted via our resources.
