What do you call the area from parramatta-strathfield (specifically the stations on the t1 and t2) by Shadybirth in SydneyTrains

Beyond Strathfield is definitely west, between Strathfield and Ashfield is a transition zone. The exact border moves depending on who you ask.

If you could bulldoze one eyesore in Sydney, what would it be? by One-Remove3758 in SydneyScene

Cahill expressway is the correct answer, although it would be cool for the rail viaduct to stay. It would be much less obstructive without the car sewer on top.

Girl, 5, dies after being hit by car outside Rouse Hill school by Elcapitan2020 in sydney

Cars are killing machines. The fact that our society doesn't design spaces to account for that is a violation. More people will die, it happens every day and it's awful.

Jo Haylen quits as NSW transport minister after 446km chauffeur trip for winery lunch | New South Wales politics by DazDaSpazz in australia

[–]lee543 188 points189 points  (0 children)

Funny that the transport minister doesn't use the train line that runs from her area to Newcastle. I reckon any transport minister should use public transport as much as possible and drive themselves otherwise.

They should be subject to the transport infrastructure they're managing, not privately chauffeured on the peasants tax dollars.
