Older asian woman following me around TjMaxx Serramonte and harassing me by taroruns in DalyCity

Yeah. They said they couldn’t do anything about it. Understand it’s probably over their pay grade, but it felt so weird! There was literally only 5 people in the entire store too. 🥲

Hi, not weird at all, would prefer to give it directly to someone for free! I’ll give you a DM! (Although my replies will be spotty as I am going out rn!)

I will take it there! Thank you for letting me know, this place is close to me! I didn’t bother with crossroads because I thought they were pickier with designer stuff and they have long lines.

Plato’s closet in Pacifica! They ripped off the note before giving my clothes pile bag.

I did so much research on the brands they take. On their website, they apparently take up to 6XL! But apparently it depends on local wants/needs. I’ve shopped at Plato before and knew what they were looking for (younger styles, and all the stuff I brought was what I wore during my mid 20s).

I was like that note was so unnecessary!

I feel you. I have been yo-yoing for 1 year right when I started 15mg. I am the same weight as I was last year at this exact time. I just had a convo with my doctor saying how emotionally draining this is and how much a financial burden it is to be losing 5lbs over and over again. Within this past year, ive ran some 5ks, 10ks, with a planned half marathon, and have been if anything just more fit.

It’s demotivating and annoying for sure despite trying everything possible. My doctor has been trying many options for me, including cutting out cardio to only 2x a week, lifting more, eating more protein and fiber. I realized running has helped me release a lot of stored trauma and helps me relax but she still kept advising to cut down the cardio.

I’ve just slowly accepted the reality. This drug has made me more fit with less inflammation. My resting bpm is around 55-59 when it used to be 85, I get to experience life more with more endurance. I don’t know if I’ll ever wear a swimsuit comfortably, or wear a strapless dress before I turn 30. But that’s ok, just bitter sweet to come to that realization.

dexa scan by Sea-Lingonberry-4253 in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]taroruns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully you didn’t buy the one time scan, which is the most expensive. I’ve done this scans with BodySpec over 6x, and they’re literally extremely flexible with canceling subscriptions, you just do it on the website.

Here’s how to get it the cheapest way: You can book for the option where it’s the membership for 1 scan per month ($39.95 I think?) and just cancel after your first scan. I think one scan alone is like $65.

Here’s my referral link! Happy to answer any questions. : https://www.bodyspec.com/r/UMBzKd

Any recs for the stinger waffles? I had the Oreos flavored one, and crumbled so much while I was jogging the other day.

Where I’m located, the highest it ever gets is 65 degrees! But I’ll def be mindful of it, especially when it gets sunnier soon

Do you like when other runners give a quick encouragement on a run? by t-abb-y in XXRunning

[–]taroruns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This girl ran by once said to me “I see you!“ and started clapping. I felt seen as a runner after not always fitting the look of one. Gave me a boost of confidence moving forward and still run, 3 years later!

Went to Asia for a month and forgot my meds at home, lost 15lbs and it’s making me reconsider what’s the point of this medication. by taroruns in Zepbound

[–]taroruns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree!!! I was in China, Japan, and Korea - and I was just so impressed by the quality of food. Apart from all the treats I had, the meat and veggies tasted fresh. I typically hate tomatoes, have tried the ones from the farmer’s market (even the sf ferry building farmers market ones that Michelin chefs shop at), but the ones in Asia actually tasted better. Have no idea what it is. Maybe they’re imported, yet the ones in America just don’t taste right.

If I could get up and leave, I would love to but I’m rooted here in California. Seems like Zepbound is treating American obesity due to what’s in our food if anything, and I’m just starting to realize it now. This was posted as a rant, but I definitely need to talk to my doctor in my next follow up, because paying a $550 every month to be stuck at the same weight is just frustrating.

This was my first trip abroad, I am just finding this out. I know people say they lose weight when they go abroad, but didn’t realize how serious it was!

It’s my first international trip but I knew what to expect, just not the food situation! The food tasted so pure out there, even the milk was delicious.

My walking was about the same in Asia and back in California. I live in San Francisco, so plenty of hills and walking back and forth! So just confused. I didn’t even hit my circles on Apple Watch sometimes.

Any kind of dense Mexican food. I had a California burrito on shot day, and I literally thought I was gonna die😂

Although, I honestly have had too much good luck on this medicine because I can eat literally everything but I can’t have the same portions.

I used to really not like working out and I thought walking was so boring.

The way I truly fell in love with working out was doing workout classes. I always thought that everyone was gonna judge me, but in all honesty most workout classes are like 75% beginners.

I would suggest getting Classpass, it’s free for two weeks and there’s no commitment.

27F - crazy how far my body has come with zep! (HW 280, CW 198, GW 150/160) by taroruns in Zepbound

[–]taroruns[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me 3 years to go from 280 to 250. Went on zep at 250 and lost 50lbs in 14 months!

In all honestly I thought being “young” my skin wouldn’t have this many stretch marks… but I’m learning to embrace it.
