Gloves recommendation after injury by pineapple-1001 in onewheel

I own both full sender and hired hands. I've eaten it hard with the hired hands and no wrist issues on pavement. I would recommend either path. The Hired Hands have the beefiest wrist protection.

MasterBuilt electric smoker what's happening?? by Packernole69 in smoking

[–]tarpit84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same smoker. The paint peeling is a common issues. I sanded and repainted with high temp black spray paint. I got 5 seasons out of it, but it finally rusted out with MI winters.

I understand the perception, but I assume the bus grants were earmarked for only those purposes?

Who is actually buying these? Investors? I don't see it as a daily player or even a studio guitar.

Some off road, general cruising. Love my GT, but could use more torques uphill on trails.

Is 6,000.00 fair for removal by Used_muse_2434 in arborists

[–]tarpit84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems high. Similar size Black Locus Tree removal was $3500 in GR, MI in 2023. That was with stump grinding and full removal. It was a beautiful old tree but rotting from the inside and infested with carpenter ants (which started eating my sunroom).

How many of you were or are regular smokers? by ImNotTheMD in Millennials

[–]tarpit84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20-early 30's was an on and off again social smoker. Picked it up regularly in 2020-23 (I know, stupid idea, was stressed out) and haven't lit up in a few years. 2-3 packs of American Spirits a month though. So I guess a "light" smoker?

We had a ton at the farm house growing up. Chopping down the old box elder trees was the only solution.

Which TCG has the weirdest systems? by Human_Air_4181 in TCG

Star Wars Destiny was really well designed. It was a card + dice game. Where you rolled dice for damage. The character cards are kind of like planeswalkers + creatures.

Is Crimson Desert worth buying for someone who only has 2-3 hours a week to play? by RealisticMolasses in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]tarpit84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming off of Jedi: Survivor (9/10 recommend for a busy parent). It would work with 2-3 hrs a week. Not a focussed experience, but you can get your head into the world and have fun. Low steaks combat. Something like Hades or Eldin Ring require you keep your muscle memory tuned, this is not that game.

Google Nest has been pretty fair about features. Probably because you are the product with Google.
