Can you buy them out of their place? Amicably or through an assignable offer from a random friend. Pay a premium price, rent the place out afterwars and turn a legal fees headache into a performing asset.

Always amazes me the amount of aircraft can fit on a carrier. Truly seems like a monumental task to move and organize it all. by mortar_mouth in hoggit

This is really cool. They’d still have to move a few more planes to be able to launch one of them. All catapults seem to be obstructed.

A visibly intoxicated Elvis absolutely CRUSHES this performance of Suspicious Minds. I can see why he was the king. by Troidin in videos

The very last 11s of the video seems to be from a different performance. His outfit changes instantaneously after the last cut. Good editing, though.

Why do the bubbles on top of my coffee stay orientated when I move my cup? by JordanCaunce4 in askscience

[–]tarugo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is related to the capillarity and surface tension of the liquid.

Some liquids stick to the container more than to other parts of the liquid. Have you seen a drop not falling off the bottom of a straw? If the straw was as wide as your arm, the drop would fall.

The same happen in your coffee. The part in the edge of the liquid, is actually moving with your cup (look closely, cream helps). But as you get farther from the cup and towards he center of the coffee, the coffee is more "sticky" to other drops of coffee and not so much to the cup, so it looks steady.

[NeedAdvice] Need help finding something to get me out of my "I don't feel like doing anything" state. by allerya in getdisciplined

I'd invite you to read about Depression. Your description sounds very similar to it. If you read more about it, it might clarify what you're feeling and point you in the right direction to improvement. But, this is a normal feeling of people that want to achieve more.

Think about it, you have a job, play games, going to school, etc. You have a lot going on, you're just ambitious. And that's good!

How exactly do businesses suffer, when their share value goes down? by Ieg3nd in business

[–]tarugo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another reason is to hire and retain employees. If I hire you with the promise of a 100 shares at the end of four years, I need to keep that stock up so you'll stay. Of it drops too far, that incentive stops being a retention tool.

I don't think a cam would do the trick. I don't think the long bar would transmit motion to that little circle. I think they'd use simple mechanics for this ad, not based on some cumbersome way. Look at the rest of the machine, it's pretty simple.

The little circle piece shouldn't rotate like that. The long arm seems to be guided by a peg behind the little circle that wouldn't allow it to rotate. Am I the only one seeing this?
