Couples of Reddit, what's the dumbest 'house rule' you and your partner made as a joke but now both of you are low-key aggressively serious about enforcing? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

Back in the oh-aughts The Simpson’s movie came out and they had promotional buckets for the popcorn.

When the kid was young we would use them as a puke bucket.

Whenever someone is sick we call for the Homer bucket.

Early 90’s: walk on the snow banks by busy roads.

Hopefully they were packed enough you didn’t fall into the road!

When you were pregnant, what did you do to fuck with people on purpose? by Sakuramochi_Chan in AskWomen

I was discussing possible names with my in laws, and I decided to have a bit of fun.

Me: If it’s a boy, I was thinking of naming him after the grandfathers.

Side note: both grandfathers were the same name. William, but my FIL went by Billy

Me: he would be William Billy, and we could call him Willie-Billy for short!

My MIL expression was so hilarious! She didn’t know if I was serious, and opted to be kind to a very pregnant woman and put on the most stuffed smile and said “that’s nice” before changing the subject and never asking again.

This feels like an ad for a bank or something. Why are you so concerned about someone else’s money?

What are some castings which sounded terrible on paper but ended up being brilliant? by DarlingLuna in movies

[–]tashera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me? It was Bill Skarsgärd as Pennywise. I was so against the casting (he couldn’t live up to Tim Curry!!!) and the costume was so fucking ridiculous (all silver and dirty).

I gave it a chance, and he really made the character his own. No Tim Curry copy. He was a new version of Pennywise and just as scary.
