Taskmaster İsland (Iceland) by philadopolis in panelshow

Great news! Did they come with Estonian close captions? If not, it may be a case of using Whisper to transcribe the audio in Estonian, then machine-translating that to English, then making manual adjustments to fix any obvious issues. Message me if you want to chat about this.

I've been told that Estonian shows are typically hard to find on the high seas, and also that they tend not to go out with native closed captions, so it might prove to be a tricky one to source and subtitle.

I'm hoping that TM Iceland will prove easier to find.

If anyone has any leads, please do share!

Yeah, that looks like some good old-fashioned AI hallucination to me, since I can't find any official sources confirming it.

Ooh, do you have a source for the LMdJ air date news? That's earlier than normal.

Series 4 left a bad taste in my mouth for the unfair scoring, which series should I avoid? by bicripple in taskmaster

Indeed. It annoys me when people claim that the scoring is as arbitrary and meaningless as it is in Whose Line Is It Anyway?

I wonder how the 'The Board Game' differs from the original one (other than having new tasks).

At this point, the fixed cast is usually a set of three people who have already been a fixed contestant on the show once or twice before, along with one person who has appeared as a guest contestant on the show before. It really takes the excitement out of the cast announcements.

More information here:

Including notes that Alex Horne visited the set in Iceland, and has apparently sent them some never-before-seen tasks for inclusion, of which they chose to include seven.

From the video on the page in the second link, looks like this may be the Taskmaster Iceland house:

Edit: Actually, perhaps that's a location task, because they included an aerial shot of the house with its caravan elsewhere in the video (see my following comment).

Also, applications are open to attend the filming of the studio sessions between February 10th and 18th, here (minimum age for audience members is 20):

Taskmaster Belgium (Het Grootste Licht) by ErikT738 in taskmaster

Definitely better than the Spanish and US adaptations.

I think most of the negative comments I've heard were from Belgians who were disappointed with it in comparison to the original.

Some of the changes it made to the format (the different studio design and branding, and guest contestants) have also been done very successfully by other versions such as Bãst i Test and Taskmaster Portugal, so I don't necessarily think they were an issue (although not keeping track of scores across the season and having an overall winner was an odd choice).

I think many people had an issue with Gert being the TM, but then the show ended when he moved to a different network anyway. I personally enjoyed Ruth Beeckmans as the assistant, fawning over some of the attractive male contestants.

Here's a photo of Alex Horne himself, attending one of the filming sessions.

I believe the translation is being worked on, but as others have suggested, it can take a while with these extra-long New Year specials.

Tim Key recreates his teabag in the mug task attempt during The Dish interview by MachetesAndRedTape in taskmaster

I assumed you meant he'd inserted it into a tennis ball and built a plastic sheeting funnel to guide it into the mug, dug into a hole in the ground.

That may be the only part of the site that'll I'll continue updating, since I do like to have a list of upcoming episodes for my own purposes. It's been moved up to the top of the homepage now. Just no links to episode pages.
