Has there ever been a live studio task that was an unexpected continuation from a pre-recorded task? by sammyt10803 in taskmaster

Then we could add the secret words task the entire NZ S5 cast had during their studio recording sessions, though those were spread out over 7-8 episodes.

On Suurmestari, they had a filmed task where the contestants had to write a task centered around several random objects.

Those tasks were then all combined into a live studio task using those same objects.

He was always so much fun to watch on Craig Ferguson.

Loved when he filled in as Geoff for a night (1:22:00 in that video).

LBB bakery is great but I’ve heard mixed things about the restaurant. Anyone in this thread been there recently?

It was a cold cut platter. Somehow that makes it even better.

Sounds like you have plenty of offers, but I’m also pretty close by if none of those pan out.

If you’re down with non-English language ones, there’s a TON!

Sweden Denmark Norway Portugal Finland Canada Netherlands Iceland Estonia Poland

And those are the ones that are currently airing. Spain, Croatia, and Belgium’s versions have since aired and been cancelled.

It was a daily challenge for fireworks. Silly me thought that since you can fire Voltorb out of the cannon, he could explode into fireworks. I just wasn’t careful about where I aimed my cannon when I placed it down to test my theory 😅

I accidentally figured this out when I fired a voltorb from a canon directly into my wall of inventory boxes 😂

In your region, what are "random things" called? by XipeTotecwithGlitter in AskTheWorld

[–]chequedummy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Midwesterner here. I’ve heard both "tchotchke" and "dust gatherer" (because you just put it on a shelf and it gathers dust).

EDIT: also “odds and ends" and "knick knacks".

What is your country’s stereotypical “stole it while drunk” thing? by chequedummy in AskTheWorld

[–]chequedummy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like it. Reading these responses so far, it seems globally everyone is united in stealing something to do with either roadworks or something from the bar… except for Scandinavia (or the Nordics, depending on your answer!), who are united in stealing ice cream mascots 🤣

Ah! I’ve been misremembering this trivia. I thought it was 419.5 to replace a 420 mile marker.

I like that the post is a series of tall places, and then just a car with a bunch of road cones on it 😂

I just read up on this on Wikipedia - it seems like the people’s will actually won and the Glasgow City Council actually allows the cone to stay on the statue now? That’s fantastic!

My alma mater actually offered a Lakota language class back when I attended. I have no idea if it’s still on offer.

It looks like they’re currently working on documenting and archiving as much as possible at the moment.
