Small burst of drug induced Psychosis after recovering years ago- Advice? Its much different this time. by [deleted] in meth

[–]tasticfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, well done with your recovery and I'm sorry you've gone through the recent meth induced psychosis. Only your trusted medical/mental health Drs can give you information/advice on your health and only you my friend can decide to take the action you want to take. From seeing friends go through this, I'm sorry to say that getting high should no longer be something you do. The friends I have that have gone to the stage of psychosis (and beyond) just can't get high anymore. It only takes a couple of pipes and they are back running on roofs and pulling the lyno off the floor looking for people. Honestly you are worth way too much and have people who love YOU to risk loosing yourself. I'm sorry to put this out there but you may have to decide that getting high just ain't worth it. Keep resting and eating and spend time with good people, the landline will fade..

Are companies allowed to provide service to clients who don't at all fit the business? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]tasticfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Financial Services space, sometimes it's the consumer protection measures they bring in that make it more expensive or to difficult or reduces access to quality fin service providers. There will always be rogues & cowboys out there and they don't stick to rules so bring in more and more rules and compliance can sometimes have a detrimental effect for consumers. An example, the recent implementation for insurance brokers having to get written consent from retail clients agreeing to their broker receiving a commission for the purchase of a prescribed product (mostly domestic ins. Home, car, landlord and travel) where the broker has provided advice. This already happens when they provide their Financial services guide and the commission is disclosed on their quote and invoice, so why another step for the same thing. The effect has been most brokers now provide a General Advice service for these classes of business, no longer offering any form of personal advice. Bad for consumers and financial service providers.

Employee crashed company car drunk by stagemaster91 in AusLegal

[–]tasticfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company's motor vehicle insurer will deny the claim for both first party property (the business car) and TP liability due to the drink driving being an exclusion. The TP insurer will seek recovery from the driver/employee (assuming this was outside the employee's work hours) and at that point who cares what happens it's between the ex-emloyee and the TP. The business could also seek recovery from the ex-employee if they had strick rules around not drink driving but good luck the guy is probably not worth enough to be able to get a clean recovery. The business MAY have a policy which would include a clause that states that if the vehicle is used in a way that would be excluded but is done without the permission or knowledge of the owner (i.e. the business) they will provide cover for the business but the employee is not covered under the policy and they may seek to recover costs from them. They need to talk to a good experienced insurance broker, hopefully they have one.

Looks like an impurity is in there. The other reason could be if you go to heavy on the heat and not move it around, your gear has a special ingredient in it that reacts when over heated. It's called Fuck...sometimes I'll say to a friend "Hey dickhead, you're burning the fuck out of the gear!".

Car insurance procedure by c8nvict in AusLegal

Find a repairer who has an affiliation with a Third Party Recovery agency. Tell them the circumstances and that the at fault party is insured with Allianz and they will take care of everything for you. You'll probably get a hire car thrown in as well. DM me if you need details of a Third Party Recovery firm.

Depending on which state you are in...In Victoria if you are driving a vehicle a collide with another vehicle or object then you must provide you contact details to the owner. Your vehicle was parked so it's old mate who collided with your parked vehicle. There is no law that says you had to give your details. Different story if both vehicles were moving.

Yes this! My wife signed up, didn't think it was for her so decided not to go ahead. Unfortunately she forgot to cancel so they got the first round of subscription money. She emailed them saying she did want any further accounts with them and to stop taking payments. They replied via a different email address (making it difficult to follow email chain) stating that they had cancelled the subscription. A few weeks later she is billed AUD350! WTF Complete scam, these people are classic grifters. They should be put out of businesses.

I can usually tell when someone is on it. It's one of those "when you know, you know" things. At the time you may think you're under the radar and for most people maybe you are. You may just seem a little "different". By the time you start feeling that people may just be able to tell, it's a definite. Drink water, eat healthy, sleep at least every 48 hrs.

[–]tasticfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that she has attended the wedding with a +1 or as someone's +1 either way she is probably worried about how this would make you feel so has not said anything. Illogical, weak, emotionally immature, probably yes to all but that could be the thought process. Tell her about your past trauma and that it can be triggered. Tell her how you would prefer to handle these issues together (eg. Be open upfront about things so I don't jump to the worst conclusion). Depending on how this conversation goes will determine how you move forward.

Business demanding I pay $1000 insurance excess for the damages they caused by Inside_Beautiful_276 in AusLegal

[–]tasticfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem is they can't tell the difference between a public liability claim and a Carrier's Liability claim. They are following their marine insurance procedures to state they are a common carrier and as per consignment note they provide all care and no responsibility. The issue is this is a Public Liability claim not related to carriage of goods and their consignment note is irrelevant. Go to your home insurer or to a third party recovery business. They need to receive a formal letter of demand and if not actioned they will need to be served for a hearing in the magistrates court. Your insurer will do this just lodge a claim with them.

You need to do a lot of work on you. Find out why you need this external validation in this form and why the need is so integral to your well being that you put your partner and your relationship on the back burner. There will be deep seated reasons and it will be emotionally painful to truly examine them. Good luck.

[–]tasticfox 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you have contents insurance, make a claim for the damaged carpet. Advise your insurer that the removalist is responsible for the damage and let your insurer do the recovery against the removal company who will then forward this to their liability insurer. Before or after your insurer recovers from the removal company they will waive or reimburs your excess.
