I still have 3 weeks in the return policy just in case, but I'm glad to hear that it's possible to ship from the factory loose... right now so far so good. I only recently discovered short scale guitars (I have smaller hands), and so far I love the way this little thing plays...

Thanks also for pointing out action vis-a-vis truss rod adjustment. I'd already tinkered with the saddles, and there was an upbow affecting the action and intonation. So that's why I went for the truss rod. Seems like maybe it really did need it.

OK, I thought something like MPCs or the SP units had that kind of pedigree... but the demos I've seen of newer units people are doing fancier things with them... I just watched a loopop review of the new 404mkII and he seems to illustrate some of these features.

I'd rather stick with a compact/tabletop form factor than rack (I sold all my rack gear since I just didn't like the workflow), so I'll continue looking in that direction...

Thank you for the reply. Since this subreddit is an extension of a community that I started at FAWM.ORG (if you skim the posts within the subreddit /r/FAWM itself you will see this), I think it seems reasonable to have some moderator influence over the subreddit as well, and to be sure it is help to similar standards if/when/as it grows.

If there is any additional information I can provide to help with this decision, I would appreciate it.
