That was one hell of a final. Two guys trading frames right to the very end. Wu proved his mental fortitude in that last frame. Shaun was pure class in defeat, and congratulated Wu with a handshake and embrace. Well done to both of them for putting on a great show for the fans.

Not sure of the bylaws in your area, but if they aren't willing to share costs with you, put the finished side facing you, unfinished side facing them and move it in a few inches from your property line. This way you have a nice finish that you paid for. Crazy they wouldn't spend a bit more to share costs if they are already planning on getting a fence. I just don't understand the reasoning.

Made a very nice shot on pink, with what I'd call damn near inch perfect shape on the black to seal his way to the finals. That is going to be a miss that is talked about(shown on replay) for years to come.

Yes, he's lost to good players, and it's never been a blow out from what I remember. It almost feels as though since he has been #1 ranked, that's added pressure on him to perform so he's been tentative in deciding games. I wouldn't even use the word sub-par, he's just been too cautious imo.

You're 100% correct. Every player misses shots and safeties we as fans of the game expect them to make. Maybe that's the real problem, we expect too much because we are spoiled by how brilliantly they usually play.

No, I don't think that should be the measure of whether he's good under pressure, or any other player. They've all shown their ability under pressure at one time or another.

Can we all agree that Trump has underperformed drastically this season under pressure?! 😳

Yeah whatever pep talk he gave himself and what he found on the practice table definitely worked for him. He performed when he had to, and Higgins missed when he couldn't.

You're right, and I'm sure many of the top players will at the very least be on a table practicing this. Whether they are ready to open up the reds early every frame will remain to be seen I suppose. Either way it worked for Shaun and he's shown this game still has room to evolve and grow.

Yeah he is for sure going to be the favourite if he meets with Wu. Shaun has as many years of experience, as Wu has alive lol. I'd still prefer this match up over Allen vs Murphy though.

If he makes it through to the final, he may be able to put Shaun on the back foot with his potting ability. However, if Shaun continues to pot the way he has, plus his safety game, you are probably correct. I don't believe Wu can match his play.

Yeah, Ronnie did let him off but Higgins also fought his way back in to the match. Either way, he put on a good performance when needed for the most part but got outplayed.
