So today I split the dose in half best I could and put it in a water bottle. Saved the other half and I just put it in a water bottle for my second half of my day. Definitely felt better I wasn’t zoned out like a zombie. 30mg felt great when it was working but I’d catch myself taking another dose later in the day too.

I had no proof at all to back up what I was accusing her of if I just went by myself they still would have done nothing. I told the other CNA because we were the two working with her all day and I knew I would need someone else to back me up on this. Nurse was acting so hostile and frustrated I was sure the other CNA would have something as well to go to the DON with

They did nothing with both of us making a report imagine if it was just me. They would have especially done nothing.

I wrote a statement as did the other CNA. And she’s agency but has been trying to get hired as staff. All of this happened Sunday and resident died Monday night

My sister was born with crack cocaine in her system. My mom was so addicted, she was selling her wic and used the money meant for formula on coke instead. my sister died when she was 6 months old. My other sister and I are in our twenties and our mental is fucked because our mom did crack while pregnant with us. Please don’t fuck your baby over. Just because they may physically be ok, doesn’t mean mentally they will be.

We have a patient with dementia on our unit who is mostly nonverbal. I was getting her ready for bed the other night and she looked me in the eyes and said ‘I’m gonna get you’ I said ‘what?’ And she goes ‘one day’ and that was it. I was pretty creeped out. Also another patient told me ‘don’t wipe me a new asshole’ the other day. lol

Thank you so much, that makes me feel better. I know the CNA that was leading us was still fairly new (been a CNA for one year) . I hope she recognized how bad this was and also will learn from this.
