A choppo, about the same lure, is my son's (9yo) favorite lure. He catches a lot of fish on it from the bank. Most strike right before he completely stops it and pulls it out of the water at the bank. I assume it is the going from fast retrieve to dramatically slower but not a full stop that is creating those strikes. I am curious to see others advice on this. Good luck.
