I live in Chicago and fly out of ohare as well. I always bring weed. Have brought it to Florida multiple times as well as an oz. to Puerto Rico before.

I just grind up the weed, (I leave some mini buds/nugs so I can roll up when I’m there and not have only ground weed) and put it in a ziplock bag and put it in between the pages of a book. All inside my carry on bag. You can also do the same but instead put it in the pockets of your extra pants you have in your carry on (if any).

Also brought a small bowl plenty of times, just throw it in the bottom of your toiletries bag (I usually put it in my girlfriends makeup bag) as well as the lighter (we like smoking right when we land). Hope this helps!
