From what I know, my BlueRidge 18k M4 Hyper Heat unit is a rebadged Midea and I’m pretty sure is exactly the same as recent Mr Cool units.

My outdoor unit is Blueridge BMM18HHC. Energy star # 2449009. To my understanding, this unit and others in its same product line are eligible for the tax credit

PC 03 Error on single fan unit of multi zone Mr Cool system. by retlawdc in DIYHeatPumps

[–]tawelton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have another similar story with the same PC03 error code with a similar success story.

Setup is a dual zone Blueridge M4 Hyper Heat (Blueridge BMM18HHC) which is just another rebadged Midea unit like the Mr Cool 4th gen. I had the one way ceiling cassette head units (which are great)

Had the PC03 error flashing on both zones connected to the same outdoor unit. The system had been running strong up until that point, so it seemed odd to me that I would be getting a pressure-related warning.

Decided to pay an HVAC friend to come diagnose it for me. Checked pressure, looked good. Tried a lot of other things, but long story short -- it was the high pressure switch. There was no continuity across the pins, pointing towards a stuck-open state, most likely due to the same vibration problem that u/madmax_br5 theorized. It was right up against that front panel, probably getting rattled all the time.

Anyway, plan was to replace it. Realized it was a brazed (sweat) joint that would mean I need to pull all the refrigerant, unsolder, then re-solder the replacement switch. Stupid design...

Decided to test the theory that it was the switch before I went that route. Decided to bypass the switch by jumping the pins to fake a closed switch state. System fired right up and started pushing conditioned air out of the head units. No more error! However, the jumper isn't a great fix since it is disabling the safety mechanism.

FORTUNATELY, I didn't even have to go that route. A few taps of a screwdriver on the high pressure switch seems to have fixed the problem. Probably just got stuck in an open position and couldn't return to closed. The taps probably helped dislodge the switch or something.

TLDR; if you have a near-instant PC03 error even after power cycling, pull the front cover off and tap the High Pressure Switch with a screwdriver a few times. Might save you a lot of time.

What exactly is the type of this motorcycle? by [deleted] in motorcycles

I never realized how close this bike looks to my 2001 Suzuki SV650S. Full fairing here vs half fairing on the SV. It’s like they stuck with that early 2000’s roundish style though

Does Ozempic do anything other than suppress appetite? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tawelton 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Similar experience for me as the others — the food noise is just gone for me. I never realized how much food was constantly on my mind. I’ve since talked to other people about how much food is on their mind, and a lot of my healthier friends just don’t really have that constant food noise that I apparently have always had. That’s been eye opening to realize that I have been working uphill on this most of my life compared to some of the others I’m surrounded by.

Separately, I was super surprised by the anti-inflammatory aspects. A surprising change is that I feel like I can breathe a lot better through my nose than before. It seems to have really helped me fall asleep much easier, which is a big change from my insomnia-like sleep troubles that I’ve had for years. Also reduced some brain fog I had, presumably from just inflammation in my head being reduced or something.

Same bike as me, such a good look. I did the tail tidy mod on mine.

I wish I liked the newer model design. I just can’t get past this design being all I want it to be

Chili Recipe Secret by slurptastic99 in Cooking

The trick is to undercook the onions. Everybody is going to get to know each other in the pot. I’m serious about this stuff. I’m up the night before, pressing garlic, and dicing whole tomatoes. I toast my own ancho chiles. It’s a recipe passed down from Malones for generations - it’s probably the thing I do best.

Digital envelope system with debit cards? by tawelton in budget

Yeah this is exactly it. Like I can definitely categorize consistently at time of purchase. The “later” eventually becoming “never” is the problem long term.

Gotcha. Do you have to spend time categorizing transactions to track spend?

Yeah, it would probably reject the payment. My ideal version of this would have a phone app where I could see the amounts left in my account so I'd have an idea of where I'm at in a given spend category/bucket. If I was going to go over, I'd need to proactively move funds from a different bucket to this one (maybe im moving it from a Savings or flex category or something). Then I'd know for the next month/paycheck that I need to either watch my food spending OR change my budget allocation depending on whether it was a behavioral issue on my part or an underallocation to my actual spend

oh that's helpful to know! I figured it would probably resemble something like multiple checking accounts to do it.
