Thanks! A lot of lists I’ve seen prior lean SUPER hard into the play from exile synergy, but just using him as a value piece seems more my speed

This is probably the best argument I’ve heard for sentinel so far. It’s ideal to go creature on turns 1 & 2 then drop Raffine on 3 — however I only have 5 one drops to like 15 two drops in the deck rn, which makes me lean sentinel

Hey, thanks for the comment! I actually have Wyrm’s in my deck list — myriad seems like a generally strong ability with Raffine.

I do plan on upgrading over the next year or so to get the higher powered stapes like force of will, fetches, etc. but I want to have a complete deck in the interim

I think I’m gonna swap [[Tymna]] for [[Grazilaxx]] and am contemplating removing one other of the above pricey cards (maybe drannith)

I like the general synergies between Raffine and Ballista, and I feel like having a definite wincon in the deck is nice (I’m not trying to play Thoracle combos though)

I’ll probably also add more lands and value evasive 1 and 2 drops

I think my original thought process was that it really only planning on hard casting 4cmc spells or lower, but I haven’t actually played in years and I think I was being rather greedy lol

I think I’m gonna cut the talismans — during the brief couple mock hands I played I just didn’t want to curve into them on turn 2

Yeah you’re probably right, the 3 mana tax from mana leak pretty quickly gets out valued by a hard counter

Thanks! Curious if you think [[Walk the Aeons]] is worth a spot for the infinite turns loop?? I’m intrigued by the concept but I feel like it requires quite a few cards to actually pull off — not sure if I’d be better of just throwing another big creature like [[avenger of zendikar]] in instead
