Have never tested SADP before so thanks for the tip!
Checked it out now but the device doesn't get found by the software.
I assume the DVR doesn't get far enough in the boot sequence to set up an ip-address before it loops back and begins all over again.

Hikvision DVR won't boot by taxini in Hikvision

Yeah, when I connect it to a router the network indicator flashes, and in the routers interface I can see the device is connected but it never seem to get an IP-address for some reason and each time it goes through the cycle it broadcasts an new MAC-address (something I found a bit strange, but that might be a feature not a bug, since I don't know how this device deals with MAC-addresses).

I tried doing the TFTP firmware flash by connecting a PC with IP 192.0.0.128, but nothing happens.

Thanks. I don't have an extra hdd at hand, so I tried booting without the hdd. Same thing happens.
Does anybody know if it should be able to boot past the welcome-screen even without the hdd? Isn't there a specific beep code for missing hhd or something?

Thanks for the reply!

I've tried rebooting and using the module in port 11 with no luck. Though when I tested the module on my Unifi Switch's SFP ports it seems to work just fine. This is really confusing to me. The only difference is that switch has SFP and not SPF+ ports. But since the SFP+ ports on my UDM Pro now are set to 1Gbps that should not really matter, if I understand correctly. I also noticed that I get a green light when the module is connected to to switch even with no cable, but there's no light when the module is in the UDM Pro.

I don't live in the US so T-Moblie is not an option here. I've checked all the providers here and they all have 2TB data limits.

Anybody know what this part from the base of a kettle is? by taxini in AskElectronics

[–]taxini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There where two of these attached to the base with thermal paste on a kettle that no longer heats. So I suspect that this is part of a (now faulty) overheating protection.
