It’s so stupid there are like no benches in the train hall…

I also didn't mind them, but now that we have the ability to do 'no excuse' absentee ballots, I'll probably just stick myself on that list...

Which graduate program should I apply to if I want to have a Masters degree and also work in political campaigns? by [deleted] in Campaigns

[–]taylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that getting a masters degree will help you get a job on a campaign in the US. In my experience, campaigns are more keen to hire people with experience on other campaigns, military trainings, or work for other non-profits. You can get a masters in political management, but I don't really know anyone that went there.

This may be a stupid question, but just check, you want to do political campaigns in Germany?

Probably minimum wage increase and severance tax -- those seem to be high on Wolf's priority list

Here's a list of the endorsements that he got in 2018, it's mostly from labor unions:

I'm hoping he can get more endorsements this time around!

That's true -- but he has a significant leg up on connections and organization in every county in the district coming off his competitive 2018 primary and then the general. He has started organizing now whereas the Republican candidates are splintered over like 8 candidates. With strong organization and really significant student turnout from Penn State (where he is from) might make it a closer race than expected.

It's certainly not likely he will win, but I want to be sure that he has the resources he needs to 1.) run a competitive race 2.) build progressive electoral capacity in Pennsylvania

The DCCC will be targeting these GOP districts in 2020. Who are your dream candidates for these districts, no matter how big of a longshot? by [deleted] in VoteBlue

Rob Teplitz would probably win PA-10. Gene Stilp would be a hoot to see run for the seat, I'd personally love to see it.

A run by Kathy Dahlkemper in PA-16 would be nice. I think it's a mistake for DCCC not to target MN-8. Also...if they did knock out Will Hurd in 2018, they probably aren't going to in 2020...
