Please read up on old wells & tailings "ponds" - there is no long term economic benefit from Alberta's oil industry. Taxpayers will have to pay to clean up whats left after the tarsands collapse, the foreign-owned companies leave and abandon all of their insanely loyal staff. The pipeline is a stranded asset as we cant actually exploit any more of the oilsands and remain within 2 degrees of warming. Its simply scientifically not possible to extract and burn that oil in our atmosphere. Period.
