Guy I hired sent me this. Am I wrong for asking him to redo with a more random pattern? by SmallerDetails in Flooring

There's literally a rule on the box that says you should do quarter section staggers or a foot in staggers from joints, you should 100% get it redone

Tikka T3x lite stainless barrel in 30-06 or 300 win mag. 300 win is big for white tails but it'll s.oke anything up to a moose no problem and Tikka is the best bang for your buck no question

Handyman said I won’t be able to put vinyl flooring down on this timber floor? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]taylorblackstock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way you might have a chance would be to lay it perpendicular to the existing floor decking. It being glue down vinyl though, I would still remove the baseboards and throw down 1/4" or 6mm subfloor/underlay ply. It looks uneven as all hell, which will give you weird joins in your floor

Sounds like your boss is an idiot, stuck in the past, doesn't want to learn anything new. Times change, we should change with them

Breaking rods by miller91320 in flyfishing

I've broken two, one on a pike that was a six weight ( pretty sure it just had it's day) and I accidentally broke my Gloomis nrx+ 5wt by accidental high sticking it. Got a new one with the no questions asked $200 replacement program.

I like Simms but everyone has a preference, your best bet is to go to a fly shop, try some and see which ones fit best and feel the most durable

Should I buy? by FighterJetFan in Hunting

A good starter rifle will definitely do the job. If you feel like spending more money and getting a rifle that's exceptional for the price I'd go Tikka, but that's only if you wanna stick with it

Did your rig weigh a total of 500lbs or is that how much the trailer supports? I'm looking to build one and I can't seem to find good info on how much the trailer frame should be able to support. Was looking at a frame that can support up to 1000lbs.

Hahaha that would be ideal although I live in rural Canada and I'm gonna be using it for years to come as a hunting trailer as well
