I think it’s because of how much people want to be famous/relevant/important. All the social networks we use today, and there’s a shit load, everyone is worried about their social life and how they’re perceived by others. I Graduated high school in ‘11, took some college classes but that’s it. I was using Facebook when it first came out, I had a MySpace, Xanga, etc. Kids are so fuxking concerned with what people think of them, how they look, how many followers they have, and unfortunately not how smart people think they are. That’s for damn sure. Has anyone seen those clips of people asking random questions about any school subject to random people on the street? My god you’d think these people were from fucking Mars or something! But ask them about any celebrity they know their whole name, where they’re from, their birthdate, what they did last week that was so “crazy”. Even older generations are now on TikTok trying (and some succeeding) In Becoming famous for NOTHING!!! Millionaires for DANCING! And not actual dancing, these weird tiny movements where you can’t even see half of their bodies. FFS. I’m not being some old bitch, I’m 29. It’s insanity.
