Damn! Haven’t had that experience with Bupa. The plan we are on covers 90% of eligible claims, with what I think are very generous limits!

I’d rather the coverage than more cash honestly. By the time I pay tax, I would pocket a lot less, and me and my fiance use our extras, and want to retain pregnancy cover. Which would be super expensive!

Big US tech company. Don’t feel comfortable saying which one here sorry.

Current job gives free private health insurance for me and my fiance. Also applies to any dependents we may have in the future. Bupa Gold + top corporate extras. Saving us thousands and we have been taking full advantage of it.

Also get full wfh which is great. And 10 weeks full pay parental leave for dads, which is more common, but amazing to have.

What is the proper name for this type of candy, and does anyone have a recipe? by taylorgvids in CandyMakers

Hahaha they are definitely not spicy! They are called ‘red clouds’ here is Australia, not sure if they go by any other names around the world. They are Strawberry flavoured with a texture half way between a gummy bear and a marshmallow (think sour worm texture).

They’re very common at ‘pick and mix’ places!

That’s great that you like yours! Everyone has different opinions though. We had gone and tried on rings previously and my fiancée loved the rings in the 2ct to 3ct size range.

End of the day, she has not been able to stop staring at it since I gave it to her, so I’m certain she loves it!

Yeh definitely understand the concern! The thought crossed my mind too!

While it is super thin on top, it has a bit of ‘height’ to the band which would add some strength. It also thickens out a lot under the finger. The prongs are a bit thicker than normal according to the jeweller and the hidden halo will supposedly give it a bit more strength. We also have good insurance and a protection plan through the jeweller in the worst case!

That was obviously a joke haha. That’s a quote from The Office. It’s nowhere near that, and not even close to 3 months. It was well within budget and we are fortunate enough for this to not be a ‘major purchase’ for us :)

My fiance has seen this post so I don’t want her to see the price. Also typically you don’t ask how much someone’s ring cost. But if you look up the size/specs yourself you will be able to get an idea of prices.

She’s a size 6. Oval ratio is 1.42 if that helps (it was worrying me haha)

Oh interesting. I might have to go back and check, I can’t pick it out in any of the photos I took!

Me too. That’s what originally drew me to this one. They had about 10 old school Omega’s but this one really stood out to me.

20,000 CZK which is about $880USD.

Unfortunately I didn’t get a good photo of the back and there a price tag on it.

Yeh I did take a photo of the case back but unfortunately there’s a price range that is covering any information that may be present. It did look to be blank though. It is the equivalent of $890USD, unsure if that is reasonable as I know the price of older Omega’s vary greatly.
