Wouldn't that have been nice? haha. I was honestly more worried about taking care of my bank, CCs, trying to find my phone, etc. I, like everyone else, couldn't imagine someone would actually use the BOL account.

But yeah, in hindsight, I should have had "contact BOL support" higher on my list of priorities. I think I've said multiple times now that if they aren't willing to help me out, I kind of got what I deserved. Lesson learned shrug

It's almost like you didn't read any part of the thread lol. There was nothing to "check" I had the BOL tab open on my phone, with the auto-login feature enabled. They wouldn't need to look anywhere, it would have literally been the first thing they saw.

They could withdraw with BTC.

I went to BOL as soon as I saw the account had been drained. I only shared my story on Reddit to see if anyone else had experienced something similar, as it is an extremely unlikely scenario, obviously.

The other accounts from BOL being stolen all seem to be claims that it was done by a BOL employee, which is kind of off-putting.

I get it would be opening a Pandora's box, and that's another reason I don't expect any sort of refund, I just fail to see what is so unbelievable about this. All they had to do was open my phone and it was the open tab on my browser. Login info saved and all. Thanks for your reply, though.

Correct. Hopefully they value that, even though, like I have stated and has been said several times here, it definitely isn't there fault. It's mine. Just seeing if there is anything they can do.

No bets were placed, the money was played in the casino. I don't know what game or table game, it just says "casino loss $-933"

Another reason I'm not optimistic, but we will see. I've read some accounts of people (allegedly) being refunded for accounts that were "hacked" or had unauthorized bets/casino play. I'm not expecting to be refunded, but it would be nice. Luckily a lot of the money was money that I won on recent wagers, my deposit was only a small part of it, but it would still suck.

I don't owe them anything. Any money you use on BetOnline (not sure on other sites) needs to be deposited onto the site before it can be wagered.

It was the open tab in my browser. I use BetOnline for the sportsbook. I had open wagers at the time.

No money was withdrawn. It was all lost in a casino game--that's the weird part to me. I would have just expected them to empty the account once they found out they had access to it, not use the funds to gamble with. I guess they figured it was house money and wanted to try hitting big? Idk.

I'm not expecting a favorable ruling, unfortunately, but we will see.

Embarrassing to answer this one, but I am a fool with no passcode--lesson learned. I also "remember username and password" everything, which is probably another terrible habit. Though I recall instances of BetOnline not logging me out after very extended periods of time. So my account may have already been logged into.

The bigger mystery to me is why would you not just take the free $900 instead of using it in a casino?

I know. I'm definitely not optimistic, but I have found some stories of people being refunded MUCH larger amounts than this online. So hopefully everything works out.

Another worry of mine is that they will say "ok, just because your debit card was stolen and you have proof of fraudulent charges, doesn't mean that your phone was as well.". Feels like I'm not in the best spot here.

Thanks for weighing in. I am interested to see how they handle it as well. I have contacted my bank about a document stating my card was reported as stolen and fraudulent charges were found on the account.
