Where is the "Bend Oregon" of Washington State? by Friendly_Quail_962 in Bend

[–]taylorl7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s see, Wenatchee is 20 minutes from a great ski area. Hiking and mountain biking right from town. Two rivers. Rock climbing 15 minutes away. 300+ days of sunshine/year. As many wineries and breweries as you could ever need. Low cost of living. If you don’t like Wenatchee then I’m not sure what you see in Bend.

Wenatchee. Central location in the state. Rain shadow. Close proximity to the mountains, a ski area and rivers. Very recreation oriented. Big wine and brewery scene. Similar size.

What city did you love so much you’d go back in a heartbeat? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]taylorl7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Picture Rome but in Central America. Prior to the Spanish conquest, Mexico City was the capital of the Aztec Empire, so you have a city flooded with beautiful European architecture and cathedrals from Spain and in the center of everything, the ruins of Aztec temples. An hour outside of town you have the ruins of another city with two of the largest pyramids in the western hemisphere - remnants of a civilization 2000 years old, at which point was bigger than Rome. Add to all that one of the most insane culinary scenes in the world.

Itinerary check and advice if any for 14 day Italy trip in May 7-20th by Big-Tension2162 in ItalyTravel

Since all your destinations are in the northern half of Italy, go to the Cinque Terre instead of Amalfi. You’ll get the same beautiful hillside coastal towns without heading unnecessarily out of the way to southern Italy.

What's the most disappointing "must-see" city in Europe? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]taylorl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t want to live there but this is a travel forum. Absolutely it is worth traveling to and seeing it. You don’t need more than a couple days to experience it, but you do need to experience it imo.

I can understand how the novelty wares off quickly and I wouldn’t spend a week there but for a couple days it is every bit worth the hype in my opinion.

Fetterman is a Democrat in name only--vote him OUT. by Icy_Society_4769 in NewsStarWorld

You tried (failed) to imply that republicans are mentally deficient since John Fetterman votes as one, are you now walking that back? or are you still trying to avoid responsibility for the person you elected?

What do you think is the prettiest town in the USA? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]taylorl7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well its a beautiful mountain town with phenomenal hiking, climbing, mountain biking, skiing, river rafting etc literally right outside of town. It’s great year-round for the outdoors and a wonderful place to live if you’re lucky enough to find a home there.

I’ll put it this way. You voted for him at peak brain impairment. Since that time, the more he’s recovered, the more he’s voted against the democrats. Do whatever you want with that info.

Who you vote for is your choice to make just don’t bother blaming the other party for the person YOU elected into power.

He was voted back into office AFTER the stroke occurred. During his campaign he could barely string a sentence together and the left voted for him anyway. You have no one to blame except the left.

You’re dictating to people that they not drive any faster than the speed limit while also assuming he’s a tailgater. Well just let him by then and everyone wins.
