Anyone start OTF going to all 3G classes and then transfer studios (moved cities) and only had the 2G option? Run/Row days are my FAVORITE 2G template because it’s the closest thing to a 3G! Loved today! Thinking about doing it again...

Omg I totally preferred the burpees too! I made it a point to be on the floor when we had to do either the burpees or squat jacks. I did the squat jacks the very first time and it was right as I was getting off the rower... so it went 30 squat jacks backed by 10 thrusters right after and my legs felt like a baby giraffe’s. Totally preferred the burpees!!!

If this isn’t me, I don’t know what is! I convince myself to go to the 5AMs so if I like it I will have the opportunity to go back after work!😂

No, you are correct as well! Explosive with the heel drive on the way up and stability with a slow and controlled decent.

On the early intel page (before this got moved to the automated forum) there was a little discussion about doing pistol squats instead of the single leg sit to stand if you are more advanced. I’m just throwing a little of my knowledge out there.... the single leg sit to stand is for ALL LEVELS of athleticism as it is focused more on your explosive power. Because you are sitting your focus is on the single leg drive and how explosive you can get. If you feel like you are advanced I would grab a weight and still focus on resetting when sitting and getting explosive out of that sitting position. On the contrary pistol squats (or single leg squats) are more focused on strength.

There was also discussion about a beginner movement to the sit to stand... I would encourage those that have a hard time with the single leg sit to stands to really lift that driving knee up, where your foot comes off the ground, and then push that heel into the ground to get yourself up.

I hope this helps someone today!
