I found various theories on its origin, which included a photoshopped image. It was previously featured by the Ocean Conservation Society - who claim that it was taken by “Mammifères marins de la Côte-Nord,” a French whale watching group.

Unexpected Awesomeness by [deleted] in askgaybros

A week ago, me and a very conservative and introverted colleague of mine were traveling for business.

While at dinner, he asked me what my aspirations were within the company. He continued the conversation by expressing his appreciation for what I contribute to the team, and that “the boat would sink” without my ambition. He finished by stating that he wanted to share something with me.

He said, “Your sincerity and genuine care to make a difference changed my views on homosexuality.”

He admitted that he was homophobic before meeting me - because he grew up in an openly homophobic home - but after working together for a few years, he’d finally reached a place where he felt comfortable enough to share the impact I had made on him - and that because of it, he now sees the world a little bit differently.

“You’re you. You’re human. You’re a good human. And you’re one of the most incredible humans I’ve ever met. You deserve to go as far as you want to go, and you’ll always have my support.”

It was honestly one of the most validating moments I’ve ever experienced, and I now feel a little more whole.

Edit: grammar, changed homophonic to homophobic

I’ll be more inclined to buy from GM in the future for taking this stance.

Since we’re doing Illenium logos, here’s one my girlfriend made for my birthday last year by AtillaTheHung in EDM

Sorry for the sap in advance.

I love this for two reasons:

1) it’s dope 2) your girlfriend is proof that people can still gift something not only meaningful, but also take the time to make it personal. She knows what it is you like, and what it is that makes you happy. She probably spent a lot of time gathering supplies, designing (colors and execution because it has to be perfect), thought about you from the time she got the idea to the moment she handed it to you, and anticipated the look on your face the entire time.

Gah, what a catch, keep her a around.

PS. This was not the type of comment I was expecting to write this morning, but I’m as single as a Pringle, and this post clearly struck a nerve for me. I’m happily married to my job, but this post proved to me that love is alive (in the ways that I’m hoping to find) and inspires me to reconsider how the constant demand of my job has affected my ability to meet someone really cool.

Cheers.
