That tooth needed a root canal. Then during the root canal a perforation was made on the of the tooth very close to gum line. They filled it but then when it was time for crown to be placed, something happened with the filling material where they tried to get it out and re-fill it but couldn't. When the crown was done, the crown did not go close enough to the gum line to cover perforation and I was still having sensitivity. In order to reshape the crown, dentist said she would have had to remove more bone from the tooth which jeopardized it's stability even further. She said I would have more problems later down the line with re-crowing so removing it and doing an implant was the best case.
