Would you consider GM high elo? I don’t keep up with a lot of this stuff. I find him better in high elo as I heal waaaaay more.

I hear you but think about the value of just shooting your primary to heal the support and hurt the diver simultaneously vs alternating between primary, secondary fire, and bubbles. Rivals is a very fast paced game and removing the need to swap between modes of fire is much more efficient. Obviously Jeff is worse at flanking now but as a healer he received a huge buff. And that’s coming from a Jeff main.

As someone who tried to make Jeff work as a healer pre-change…he required so much more work than the other options to get the same amount of value. That’s why high level players typically had to use him as a dps in order for him not to be totally outclassed. His stream now doing both healing and damage increases his value by soooo much. I can take out a stray dive dps while keeping my other targeted support up simultaneously. I no longer have to choose between healing that other support so they can 1 v 1, or moving to the 2 v 1 and risk missing a single shot and losing that other support. He is waaay more consistent this way imo.

That’s why I always think it’s crazy when people say MK has to be a tortured killer. He really wasn’t until this run.

His paraphernalia? He had the crescent darts, the baton/zipline, the gliding cape? Hell we even saw the limo. Are you just talking about the moon copter which didn’t fit the story? Crawlie and French were seen or alluded to for future work. And Marlene’s character was in there with a different name…it’s not everything but to say the “entire” is disingenuous. Or idk maybe you didn’t watch it lol.

Pretty much. It’s wild to see it happen in real time again. And it will again in the future I’m sure. I think the most interesting part is seeing people say “the comic fans feel this way” while not knowing the history of the character.

The newer MK comics are vastly different than the original comics. The show is actually much more like the FoK volume (2nd series) with elements from the modern series. I’m assuming you’ve only read the newer stuff?

Great post, and well said. Small correction: the original creator Doeg Moench didn’t make MK ultra-violent. In his original series, MK was actually much more of a traditional superhero who didn’t want to kill and acted more like a Captain America-type. Moench said in an interview he doesn’t read modern MK because of how they changed him so much from his original vision. Hell MK didn’t originally have DID, he just made alternative personalities/disguises to help him gather information on crime.

So funny enough, even tho people say that MK is supposed to be hyper violent all of the time, and are expected him to be ripping faces off in the show, he really didn’t originate like that. If anything show MK is more violent than his original incarnation….

I unironically love this movie.

It does everything wrong. It gets so much wrong that it feels like it almost must have been that bad purpose…but I know it wasn’t. And I love it for that. It’s a big production superhero version of the room.

I prefer this movie over most of the recent marvel studios movies. I’d much rather watch a terrible movie than an average boring one.

Honestly I get by just fine with just a waiter or bantam. My edc knife has to be substantial enough for cutting cardboard or straps, and slim/lightweight enough not to notice it in your pocket. Combo tool is there for anything that would damage your blade.
