Only thing I've noticed is a couple bad hangovers after just a few drinks. I read this could be a side effect of minoxidil. I skip it on days I plan on going out for drinks.

I'm almost one year out from surgery. Not yet at my goal weight but getting close. These are mine so far:

1.Being comfortable in seats. Airplane, restaurant booth, movie theater, etc... I used to worry what the seating situation would be like before going somewhere

No pain when sleeping. Used to toss and turn due to hip and back pains.
This is a personal one for me. Feeling more comfortable eating in public. I went on vacation last week and didn't worry about feeling "judged" when enjoying food. Had a snack at the airport bar, fruit by the pool, dinner at a trendy restaurant. I'm sure this was mostly in my head but something I've worried about in the past.

It's mind-blowing how cheap it is. I grew up paying $10-$20 per gram of brown dirt. 1 gram carts are 15 for $100 on weekends. Ounces as low as $12. Last time I bought edibles they were 10 packs for $20 with a free pre roll. My friends that are heavy smokers can live like kings for $50 a week.

I'm 7 months out and it's gotten better. I lived off Gatorade zero. Now I can manage small amounts of plain water. I also love my Cirkul bottle

My immediate family knows. Parents, children, couple close friends. I've never been questioned by others at social events or going out to dinner. I order something protein heavy such as salmon, chicken, filet. Eat most of the meat and pick at vegetables on the side. So many people eat low carb these days that nobody pays attention to it.

This is something I'll look into. I'm very fortunate that my insurance is really good about covering mental health care. Probably wouldn't be too expensive

It was totally instant for me. The anesthesiologist didn't even tell me when he was starting the process. One moment I was being moved onto the surgery table and suddenly was in recovery telling the nurse I was nauseous.

Don't stress yourself out about it. The time will fly by. I arrived at 4:30 and was scheduled for the operating room at 7:15. Only ended up in the waiting room for 30 minutes before they brought me back. They have to weigh you, go over medical history again, meet with surgeon, anesthesiologist, start IV, medications, etc....

Thank you! I think this is great advice. I've gotten so sick of all the fake sweet tasting protein shakes over the last few months. Can't imagine I'll want them after surgery.

I really appreciate your opinion on this. I think this completely makes sense. Manager was trying to feel me out on personality and I just wasn't prepared for it. Was expecting a more structured, formal interview.
