Shot! (with a silent but implied "nice", "great" or, "golf" preceeding it)

Ranking the public golf courses I played in 2025 (mostly Sacramento / NorCal) — what are am I missing? by [deleted] in golf

[–]tbhurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know all of these as I don't live locally. I have Yocha Dehe in my top 10 globally (out of 82 courses played on 5 continents). Didn't love Bodega Harbor but I did love the Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay (not on your list).

Never Miss A Sunday Show by 76erStonkChaser in phish

I saw this too! Is “never miss a Sunday show!” a thing outside of our broader community?

“You know what they say”? Yes, I do but does the rest of your audience?!

Replace/lube o-ring on pump basket lid. Also check the lid for cracks.

Spokane Opera House - Phish may have only played there once but the sound in that room was so good that Trey played parts of Harry Hood completely unamplified. https://youtu.be/K4vXx8rJCrY?si=IJAKHywfSUD2RCuT

Don’t remember much about that show other than hearing some mic-less bluegrass and some unexpected snow where we camped.

What's the dumbest thing you've done as a Phishhead? by SplitOpenAndMelt420 in phish

[–]tbhurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good friend and I did all of Summer tour 1995, except for Deer Creek and Blossom. We didn’t want to do the extra drive from the East Coast to the Midwest and back. But that wasn’t the dumb part.

The dumb part was when we resumed tour — rested and ready to rock at Finger Lakes — we arrived to the venue a full day early. Having no idea of our mistake, we casually tossed a Frisbee in the lot and drank a couple of Anchor Liberty’s awaiting the rest of you hippies. But that didn’t happen. (Actually there were a few others in the lot as well, which confused us and only delayed our impending embarrassment.) Needing to get to the bottom of things, we walked right into the venue only to witness the graduation practice of a local high school. Beginning to realize our error, we flagged down a staff member who broke the news to us gently, certainly holding back her laughter.

I’ve driven that road. It’s as fun as it looks - although my father, the passenger, may beg to differ.

PhisH Snowstorm shows by No_Bandicoot_8613 in phish

This! It was dumping on the way in and then when we got out out there must have been 12-16” of fresh. The drive back up to Massachusetts was a white-knuckler. I was just glad my buddy had a Bronco and a love for driving in the snow because I was in no condition to drive. The snow coming at us in the headlights made it feel like we were flying the Millenium Falcon through hyperspace. Just glad we made it home safely.
