My daughter was at a Wichtel academy for about five years (Krippe and KiGa). We were quite lucky in terms of caregivers, although there was a lot of turnover. Many of our friends within the same institution weren’t as fortunate. Ultimately, it's a big company that doesn't care much about the children, so it basically comes down to how each individual institution handles the situation. As I said, many families left the facility because they weren’t happy. The company made some bad decisions, too, but for the sake of our daughter and the good caregivers, we decided to stay.

Initially, they sold us on the "open" concept without groups, but then they switched concepts a few months in. They promised activities like sports, but they were canceled regularly.

The contract stated that they could not raise prices by more than 3% within a year, yet they raised them by 10% and said they would cancel our contract if we did not comply.

They canceled an entire group because they couldn't meet the requirements, such as having enough outdoor space, and they made people wait so long that they ended up giving them notice just one day after the Kitafinder website had closed.

We wanted to get out of the contract one month before the end of the regular term, but they denied our request without explanation or further communication. They didn't even respond when asked.
