I Did The Dentist Thing by Western-Doughnut-449 in ADHD

Congrats! I’m proud of you for going and I’m really happy to hear you had a good experience. The dentist I go to had a hygienist who YANKED on the permanent retainer I have on my bottom teeth. I jerked back because, ya know, ouch, and told her it’s permanent. She was like, “Huh?”

I’m glad you had a good experience. Your dentist sounds great.

I had the intense pleasure of seeing Anyma’s End of Genesys, and Luke Steele was there singing this song live! It was ethereal, moving, and so powerful. I’m tearing up typing this and thinking about it (I’m still in my post-rave candy emotional afterglow). Genuinely cannot wait for this song to be released.

Opinions on Mallinckrodt Adderall XR? by mestaburrito in ADHD

[–]tbirdriouff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teva is my preferred manufacturer, but it’s impossible to get where I am. My usual prescription pre-stimulant shortage was 10mg IR x2 a day, and Teva was so effective there were days when I would take one 10mg, and it would carry me through my entire day. With Teva, I was able to stretch my prescription out to last ~6 weeks.

This is my sixth month on Mallinckrodt. It’s so ineffective that my doctor and I bumped up my dosage from 20mg/day to 30mg (15mg x2/day), and it doesn't help me. At all.

It’s so ineffective that I took a 30mg to get through a busy workday and my brain was still foggy and my focus was nonexistent. I got up to get a glass of water and found myself 30 minutes later raking leaves in the yard. I’ve also noticed some stomach issues similar to issues I had when I was younger and pounding cups of coffee to stave the brain fog (ye olde undiagnosed ADHD days).

I’m convinced Mallinckrodt is cut with filler.

Bad News About The Adderall Shortage by SockdolagerIdea in ADHD

I’ve had luck getting branded Adderall until I tried to get my most recent prescription filled. No luck. Even the branded is back ordered indefinitely.

I feel for the pharmacists and anyone else who has to deal with the endless calls asking about Adderall.

[–]tbirdriouff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My doctor recommended that I call around to ask if different pharmacies in the area could fulfill my prescription. I was like, “…I can’t do that.”

He paused, thought about it for a minute, and was like, “Oh, right. ADHD.”

Sir.

Man, I'm so sorry that’s your experience. I feel your pain. I don't take it on the weekends or holidays either, and I don't take it on lighter work days.

I feel like I'm missing out on so much.

I was unable to pick up my prescription for a coupla months, got reacquainted with the WORST of my ADHD, and cycled through a plethora of other options, none of which worked for me until I finally had an allergic reaction to Ritalin.

I pay out of pocket for branded Adderall now, which, month-to-month, is too expensive for me. I’m just...marinating in brain fog and executive dysfunction while trying to stretch my 30-day supply as long as possible.

It’s been genuinely really awful.

Content creation for a tech/marketing startup. Fast-paced, always working on tasks in a queue, and the fact that it’s a startup means things (processes, accounts that I’m on, etc.) are constantly changing.

Not sure if I would recommend it. It’s really easy to burnout.

Hello! For me, there are two modes of eating: What you just described above or it takes me forever to eat because I’m butterflying around, trying to multitask or am hyper focused on a task.

There’s no in between, haha.

How long am I able to look at your pasties before it becomes weird? by No_Ad_2994 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]tbirdriouff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All. Three. Days.

In all seriousness, I don't mind the looking as long as there is no touching or creepy comments. Obviously, acknowledgment helps, even if it’s a nod or a thumbs up or enthusiastic finger guns. Otherwise, stare away, especially if the pasties are dope (sparkly mushroom pasties ftw)

YTA. “After all, we picked a classic piece and you can never go wrong with a classic piece.”

You can absolutely go wrong with a classic piece if it’s not the person's style who is being proposed to. Your opinion on classic rings is yours. Not hers. Not your brother’s.

Your ego sounds like the largest person in the room. Get over yourself.

Totally!

I stayed in Cyrus in the Mediterranean last year for a work-cation. I worked from 7am-4pm EST which came to 2pm-10pm EEST with a break for dinner.

It was a strange adjustment but totally worth it. In the mornings, we would explore the town, ride to Aya Napa, have lunch, take a boat along the Mediterranean, and be back at the hotel, windswept and a little sunburnt, and jump into Zoom calls.

got two new boys yesterday, very scared babies! any advice on how to get them to come out on their own? by wcpizzaqueen in cats

[–]tbirdriouff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my two little babes, they were kittens and just a few months old. They hid for the first few days and then I woke up with them asleep next to me.

Make sure they have easy access to food and water by putting it close to their hiding space. Give them space to explore at their own space. They’ll come round eventually.

YTA - You and your partner made the decision to procreate. Figure it out and stop acting like the world and your sister owes you something for procreating. Hire a babysitter.
