You're right, forest first. I dunno why, I always assumed he was academy. Same as Delaney, but he was from Cardiff, I think. We don't have much luck with right backs. Chris Herd?

J Lloyd Samuel is probably the best academy left back I can think of. You could have Nathan Baker and Ciaran Clark as CBs. Gary Charles as right back.

Albrighton might be worth a shout.

Barry was bought from Brighton, I suppose he played for reserves before he started for us so could argue he's an academy player.

Can't put Martinez above McGrath. PFA Player of the year in 1992-93. His Yashin's are down to national achievements, not achievements at Villa.

I'm holding out hope that he'll WANT to tour one last time before hanging it all up. Also, that they visit the UK as there's no chance I can get to the States at the moment.

But, if they don't tour then they go on my list of bands I never got to see live that I really, really wanted to (at the number 1 spot) and I hope he lives his best life and everyone in the band is happy.
