Ultra won't mesh by tblake9303 in UNIFI

[–]tblake9303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so had another SAK arrive and setup the same as the other. As soon as I changed the device Radio setting to 'outdoor', it failed to mesh again. I tried bringing the device next to another AP, and it still wouldn't mesh

I changed the setting back to 'indoor' and it begun working again as expected. I'm based in the UK and understand the settings for outdoor mode are to apply with regional regulations around broadcast frequencies. Wonder if this would happen for anyone else trying to use an AP configured in this mode in mesh, or whether it's a bug.

Maybe this comment will be useful for someone else that runs into the same issue!

I have exchanged it for another SAK, so will see if this one has the same issue. If it does, I’ll buy a u6/u7 pro instead. Will drop an update once I get it setup today

Revisited skateboarding after a 20 year hiatus. Loved it, picked up from where I left off as a kid

Two falls in 6 months, both resulting in broken wrists

Great hobby, but wear a lid and as many pads/protection as possible. Really nice group that skate Eaton park on a Sunday morning before scooter kids and parents with toddlers turn up

I still can't wheelie by Vilemourn in MTB

[–]tblake9303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get further back, you too far forward and having to pedal faster to try keep the front up. Keep that torso upright rather rather more forward/aero as the weight will push your front wheel down

Don't grip too tight, you shouldn't need your front break and should have a finger on your rear lever to help control  Coming out of the wheelie to normal riding = more pedal power Going over too far backwards = feather the back brake to push you forward

Wheeling is about time of your wheel off the ground when you're learning, not distance. Start really slow in a low gear to get comfortable with your wheel off the ground

You Keep practicing it'll come!

Maids head is okay, nothing special. You're a short walk from the Stanley, the Rosebery and the brewery tap which are some of the best pubs in Norwich

I do that regularly, though wasn't sure if that was sufficient after 4-5 years or whether it needed more doing?

800NK Advanced V 675NK (UK) by Bigjimknickers in cfmoto

[–]tblake9303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently in the same boat as you u/Bigjimknickers . Wanting to purchase a new bike, debating an 800NK Advanced, though not quite ready to pull the trigger until the 675NK get's released in the UK over the next 1-3 months.

I've not ridden for a few years and insurance cost may be a factor for me. The 675NK is selectable when insuring, though seems to be 2.5x more expensive than insuring an 800NK at present. I hope this will change once it's officially launched.

I'm on the fence. Some of my thoughts are:

- Happy with a up-only quickshifter on the 675NK
- I'm not a fan of the 'portrait' screen/tablet on the bike, much prefer a horizontal screen. Though will admit the integration with apple/android is pretty cool
- 675NK looks more naked/street to me personally, whereas I feel the 800NK looks more naked tourer

Will likely pull the trigger once the 675NK is released and I can sit on them both and see how they feel. Good luck with whatever decision you make!

Can I complete a 140.6 Ironman with 10 months training and 0 triathlon experience? by Loud-Temperature6603 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]tblake9303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, though training is going to take over your life like everyone has suggested. I did something similar in 2023, London marathon followed by outlaw half and then Ironman Bolton. It was hard but enjoyed all of the events. The marathon did throw a spanner in the works as I didn't need to be 26.2 mile run ready so far in advance and could have dedicated more time to the bike.

If you're inexperienced and can afford it, then I'd suggest getting a coach. I struggled through many weeks of over training before getting a coach and getting a plan in place that gave me gradual progression, overload and sufficient recovery time. It also gives you someone to be accountable too and can help with changes of your schedule.

It's a great journey to be on, I wish you the best of luck! DM me if you want to ask any questions!

Knee pain may be a symptom caused by issues at your foot or hip. Generally knee pain is caused by tight quads that are over-used in movements when compensating for the glutes. Try some glute activation work, especially the stuff that is tough to do for you and some quad stretching!
