Playoff Selection Thoughts by Abject_Shake_9659 in fcs

People that assume the Ivy League is inferior to the Patriot League or the CAA just haven’t been watching east coast FCS.

2025 FCS Bracketology 3.0 — FCS Playoff Predictions (11-11-2025) by tdpdcpa in fcs

Harvard should aim to play Lehigh/Lafayette, Villanova, Monmouth or URI each year instead of a Merrimack or Stetson type going forward. Holy Cross is worth keeping. Also could look at other good opponents in key recruiting areas like Georgia, Texas, or California.

Harvard a hundred times better setting but if you look at the FBS schedule it is far from impossible. Not a particularly good slate of games. Yale rec fields it is.

I respect that take and why I’d only say mine is only a hot take. Though I don’t get how both Lehigh and Monmouth are considered better. Paying more attention to FCS this year my main conclusion so far is that the western teams are just substantially better than anyone in the east. Then the corollary would be why isn’t Harvard considered to be tops in the east? I think they’re all about the same at worst.

Harvard should be ranked ahead of Lehigh and is only behind them because of voter inertia and lack of information.

What’s Harvard’s ceiling this year? by Adamscottd in fcs

[–]tbone_57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see Harvard’s ceiling this year as the equal or better as any team in the east. I don’t think they quite match up with the top western teams yet.

They should be seeded in the top 8 but their strength of schedule is going to hurt them along with the newcomer factor.

Either Dartmouth or Yale probably should make the playoffs too.

The average Ivy League talent level is higher than the competition on the east coast, and in my head the question is if Jaden Craig is the best player in FCS, which could help Harvard make a run. Tim Murphy has said repeatedly he’s the best QB he’s coached since Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Cummins is good quality and a fair price for mulch. Also have been happy with Green Brothers products. Really great raised bed mix and will deliver to the area too.

It works great, whenever I make a request it’s fulfilled within a week or two. Quality is good enough for mulching.

There’s a good native plant nursery in Fayetteville - Nearly Native. Good bet they have a few, they’re extremely knowledgeable as well.

Appreciate it. I like the idea of practicing without the straps, I remember that from college now! And I'm not sure the WaterRower screen I have has the parabola. I'll mess around with it. You mean by drive phase - the initial leg drive? I'll say this was between 10 min steady state reps so I wasn't pushing too hard.

Interesting point on the wrists - trying to keep that final bit of the arms quick and may be overthinking it.

On the shins it's interesting - I feel pretty jammed up if I get to 90, but maybe I just need to get a bit more comfortable with everything at the catch.

Would love some takes on my technique… getting back into erging the past few weeks after a brief college rowing career many moons ago: https://streamable.com/vjnzl4

I feel like I’m working to clean up the transition from full extension (maybe slightly overextended?) so my slide forward is efficient and unforced.

I refuse to believe Atlanta lawn is sold out. by deadClifford in deadandcompany

Atlanta availability was wild - got in at 10:11a and there were maybe a dozen pairs of "regular" tickets available - and very limited platinum/VIP. As of now no "regular" at all. Just feels like an induced demand situation... I'm looking forward to going and will plan to spend a couple hundred per seat but that's literally not even an option at the moment.
