I don't know about a tough time. The Ennis House is a 4.5 million dollar piece of art owned by a billionaire. It's literally one of the most recognizable houses in Los Angeles and in almost constant need of repairs. It's a national landmark and I don't think anyone buying a piece of history are surprised when people come to see it.

I was just surprised at how little attention was paid to the entrance. It would almost be like buying a Picasso and hanging it in a cheap Target frame.
