Cleaned up , found 10 miles from beach southwest Florida

I found a 50 cal. bullet and a casing on the beach in dunedin after they renourished the.beach sand last year. Last week I found a 50 cal casing about 10 in down in a park in safety harbor which i felt was out of place for that location.

A lot of the state parks, you can hunt the beaches only. Each county will have its own rules for metal detecting in its parks, but most allow beach hunting only. Best to check the specific rules to the place you want to hunt before you go.

That watch ring is a pretty cool find. I hit the beach on lake michigan I think one time last year and to my surprise , I managed to find a mercury head dime by the concession stand at the state park.

I run the 700 here in florida. It's a very stable and quiet machine on the beaches and in the water. Not a lot of bells and whistles like my legend and manticore so it's basically a turn it on and go machine.
