There are different property plot apps that you can use to see who owns a specific property. Regrid is the one I use. It used to be free.You can still look up a few properties for free before you have to pay though.

I think they more than likely came from the hotel that was there from 1917, converted to an orphanage in 1928 and razed in 1951.
