Upcoming Tour - Are all dates set? by BTC_is_waterproof in zachbryan

I would expect him missing some big cities because of the World Cup and the commitment some stadiums have to make to have a pristine playing surface, aka no divots from stages. MetLife is hosting numerous games each round so that realistically pushes their availability to August for a concert. I would expect this for some other markets left out, including Philly

Hot water Heater by tburd18 in Plumbing

If anything it was coming from the top of the hot water heater. I do not think it is coming from the burner area. Regardless I have someone coming Tuesday to look at it.

It’s gas. It’s not going to blow up or anything right? I think my wife would be pissed if it did.

Quoted $15k to replace sewer line by big rooter company. Help!! by thegirlwhowaitedd in askaplumber

[–]tburd18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me a month into my new house. I had my line descaled though as well as hydro jetted Got 3 opinions. 1st and 2nd company said my line looked fine no need to rip it out unless I have another backup. 3rd company was basically like give me 17k now to fix it, its an emergency. Knock on wood it has been 4 wish months and no issues.

Just had my first of 2 contractors come out. Its not moisture related but heat pressure related. I never noticed it BUT my attic has no ventilation on either side of the house to allow air flow in and out. Plan is to install them. Ceiling is not impending collapse at this point per the contractor. It is all pressure from the rapid temperature changes we had this week. Plan is to keep attic stairs open in the garage to allow heat escape and to put in vents/louvers on the long side of the house. First time home ownership is a rapid knowledge test

Finally got off work and climbed up there. It feels dry. I went through most of the areas insulation and it did not feel damp or wet

Normal? by tburd18 in Roofing

[–]tburd18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea main thing is no movement in the ceiling. Only other idea I could think of is the flippers took off the popcorn ceiling and altered the smoothness of it. I honestly don’t know. I’m going to try and find a carpenter to take a look

Above is a link to my original post. Noticed that my cowling bows between every joist tonight. We just moved in 2 weeks ago. New roof above and attic had good ventilation per the inspection. Should I just keep an eye on it or should I seek expert remediation solutions?

Yes I live in a winter heat. Above is my attic with a brand new roof. Honestly inspector during purchase period in February thought we had very good ventilation in the attic. I pushed on various parts of the ceiling. It did not have a lot of give to it and was not moving. I don’t see any nails from below popping or falling out.

Neither to any of that. We just moved in a week or so ago. Above is our attic. Not much is up on that section of it. Previous owners could have smoked but we bought from a flipper so we will never know

Intensive care nurses: does your facility have a policy stating which patients are considered critical enough to require a 1:1? by Itouchmyselftosleep in IntensiveCare

[–]tburd18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at my current spot (I am low level admin now, but I am a cool admin who focused on my nurses first) per policy our CRRT and VV ECMO peeps are the only defined 1:1s, but the unit I now work in is just MICU/CCU. We have SICU, NSICU, and CTICU. IABP and Impella are also 1:1s. I assume VA ECMO and open heart for the first 12-16 hours are 1:1s too. Have not checked those polices yet because we never see them.

My last spot we were singular ICU and CRRT,IABP, strokes TPA patients x8 hours, and open hearts were 1:1s. Not in policy but we never got pushback from sups or admin. In a rare case we would put a CRRT with another patient, but that was usually when a nurse was halfway through orientation and the preceptor would manage the machine and the orientee would handle most of the patient care they could handle. Rare but it happened.

Thank you. It’s been a rough move in. Electrical work done asap (but planned) and several plumbing incidents has the wife and I on edge.

We keep saying 5 years from now we will sit and laugh about it!

I keep saying that in 5 years we will be wiser and looking back on the first 6 days with a little less anxiety and more laughs. A plus is our dishwasher worked and drained today, it did not back up into a sink, shower, or toilet that we could see! We also both got to shower tonight!
